Rudy-The Madden IQ thing is like last year-When on, it adjusts to your playing style. From what I read-it is about the same as last year. It over adjusts-meaning if you pass too good, next game, your passing will must likely go striaght to hell. I don't use the Madden skill stuff. It is still beta as far as I'm concerned, just my 2 on that though. As for the mixed numbers on sliders, there are 2 sets. One for quick and basic adjustments, those were the only one's available-So I thought-Each catagory has sub catagories for more accurate fine tuning, just click a catagory and you are in fine tuning land!. The fine tuning is the only way to go. I messed with them this morning, being I thought my passing game was too sharp. Boy, did I fix that A little too good. I went 9 for 27 in the first half of a play now game and the CPU went 12 for 15.I made adjustments at the half but not sure how it will pan out being the first half had "jaded sliders" Anyway-Hope I answered your question Rudy.

Clear as mud Coffee!! lol I never played Madden 09 so I didn't know about the sub categories. I definitely won't use the IQ but just play with the sliders myself. |

Has anyone checked out the blog Dubious Quality and seen what Bill Harris has come up with? He swears that Madden 10 is the most realistic simulation he has ever seen and he has never been a Madden fan. He has a complete list of in-depth sliders and explains everything. He went for total realism. The one big difference is that he says the only way for the game to play as a true simulation is on Very Fast speed and adjust the Player Min Threshold Speed. He says you have to do that to get honest players speeds. I know, I know, it sounds horrible to me as well, but he is adamant that this is the way to go and he states his case quite well. Here's a few links to his Madden posts: Madden Impressions Madden realism sliders Two slider adjustments I am gonna have to at least give these a shot. It sucks that there doesn't seem to be a way to save multiple game settings under 1 profile. I'd be curious to know if anyone else is gonna try this. |

Hate to reply to my own post but early returns on those sliders that Bill Harris came up with are promising. I had a very nice game with realistic stats and a couple of random things you expect in a game now and then. I would like to see if these sliders held up on a slower setting. I may try that later. |

That's good to hear that things are working pretty well with the sliders. |
