I played a game using My Skill and had the closest, most fun game in a VERY long time. I used the Jets and hosted the Pats using the AFL gear. We were tied at 7 at the half, they were up 28-14 in the 4th, and I came back and tied it up on a 39 yard screen pass to Leon Washington, and the Pats missed a FG as time expired. In OT the Pats missed another field goal, I moved the ball and hit one of my own to win 31-28. It was a ton of fun. I'm going with My Skill from now on. Not worrying about sliders will help this game a ton for me. Now all I need is the patch so I can start a new chise, probably Jags, though the Seahawks are still in the running. |

Myskill is very good-except-When your skill score gets up to a very high level, you will have a tough time scoring, thus making you adjust the computer AI's sliders every now and then. Not a huge deal, you'll know when to adjust when your running game is completely stopped everytime, etc. Edited by DC, Nov 17 2009, 06:49 PM.

I was stuffed pretty hard in that game. Neither team could run much. I used Heelfan's cpu sliders off of OS (though his ST sliders weren't good - NE missed 3 or 4 FG's). If I can't run, I'll chalk it up to a bad game and let it adjust itself. I think it's at 14 right now. My passing was only at 8. Strange, I thought I was better at passing, but I guess on Madden I dink and dunk a lot, and don't take too many chances downfield. I do on NCAA, but not on Madden. I also bumped the speed up to fast. That speed just feels the best for me. Even Normal is too slow. I actually made my comeback almost immediately after bumping up the speed. The passing game in particular becomes much easier for me. |

Madden used to have that on PS2 versions. Then they stopped doing it for some stupid reason. It was "Route Based Passing" Where you'd hold the R2 or L2 when throwing the ball and it would throw to the spot the receiver was supposed to break too. I guess that was too much SIM for Tiburon back in the day so they took it out. |

Yea-I'm back to Madden. I just had to finish out my season with the Steelers. I lost interest in video football gaming due to burnout. Now, I'm just playing a game every other day or so and am pretty satisified with the new patch. it's still football season at my house so I'll be with this for another month or so. |
