Try the Wide camera angle Rudy. It's a pretty high angle. It's a lot like Madden's old camera, but zoomed out, and Zoom is like NCAA's, but zoomed way in.

Rudy,

Glad you got the game finally. I'll be really curious to see what you think of Madden now and Madden post patch.

The wide camera angle is too far away from the LOS imo. I tried that, the zoomed, broadcast and standard camera. I don't really like any of them although the standard is the one I stuck with. It's similar to NCAA - too low to the ground and it zooms too much while I play. I know some people like the new camera angles and some have grown to like them but I really dislike them. I just find myself disoriented and annoyed. The old Madden games had a truly user created camera where you could pick the angle, zoom, etc. I really wish they could add that back into the game. It's only been about 4 or 5 years but I'm assuming framerate is an issue with that. I've always preferred a more bird's eye view while most gamers seem to like the camera closer to the ground.

I just popped NCAA 09 back in after beating the Packers 24-13 in a full game and the camera is just so much better for me. Some people won't be able to understand but this is a very significant thing for me. I was hoping I would like one of the camera options.

Overall Madden played pretty well. I don't think Brees ever threw to Colston but the stats at the end of the day were good. Ronnie Brown had 29 carries for 110 yards, we both ran and threw decent although some of the line blocking was a bit porous. I think some of the criticisms of Madden I've read are over the top. It seems like a good NFL game. I'll play a few more games and see how I feel. That damn camera is going to continue to annoy me though. I did spring a 32 yard run out of the Wildcat!

I can see why guys like the slower speed on runs up the middle. The slow speed does allow you to pick the holes better. But when I get in the open field I really don't like how slow the runners feel. Fast is good for me and I'm glad they have that option.

I agree. Some of the bitching about Madden is kind of stretching it at times. Even the all might 2k5 and 2k8 had issues.

Ain't it great how nice it is having the choice of game speeds this year? :)

If only they could make the sliders more like NCAA 10 - which were very sensitive after the first patch. It was nice to see more dramatic changes with the slider tweaks.

Well Madden needs to add FG sliders for humans vs. cpu. I'd love to know why that isn't in there and why the EA team thinks kicking field goals should be automatic all the time. The switch to the analog system was terrible and that system hasn't gotten any better. It's incapable of producing realistic results for the user. And because the hash marks are closer in the NFL, I really don't see how anyone can miss a FG in Madden unless you are short.
