I just had a great game. I decided to stop with the sliders, pick the set that had worked best, and just go with it and start a franchise. I'm not even going to worry about the patch(es). When the second one comes out, I might start a franchise with the Jags, but for now I'm going with the Vikings. It was 0-0 until I scored a TD with :13 left in the half. I quickly scored twice in the 2nd half (back-to-back 2 play drives) to go up 21-0. Cleveland cam roaring back though, and tied it up with three quick scores. The first was one a 15 play, 8 minute drive, the second was an int when Favre got hit and it went straight to a lineman. Then I threw another pick in my own territory, and they scored again. I got the ball back and slowly moved the ball down the field, and kicked the game winning FG with :56 left. I win 24-21. It was funny though. I couldn't do a whole lot with Peterson (40 yards on a lot of carries - I think I was under 3 ypc) in the first half, just like in the real game (he had 25 in that one). But in the 2nd half, he exploded for me with 130 second half yards (he had 155 in real life). Ended with 35 carries and 170 yards, and Chester Taylor added 24 yards on 5 carries. I also sacked the QB five times (they got me once). It was a lot of fun though. This game can be very immersive. |

I finally downloaded the new rosters from EA and restarted the season with my new slider set. First season game was Pitt. vs Tenn. Had a pretty good game, here's some quick stats from that game: Passing: Tenn: 254 yds total Pitt. 244 Rushing: Tenn: 66 Pitt: 108 Collins went 19 for 27/ 270yds. in passing... no picks for either team Roethlisberger went 20 for 30 /254 yds. in passing Rushing (Top rushers) Willie Parker went 26 for 96 yds. avg. 3.6yds per carry Johnson went 17 for 58 3.4yds per carry Parker was a beast in the first half and fizzled out in the second half. Hines Ward came alive in the second half, catching almost anything coming his way. Final Score Pittsburgh squeaked by 17-14. I think this game had some nice stats. Got my Road to Canton DVD from SI but they shipped that at the same time and separately from the game so I'm still waiting. The stupid thing is Walmart is having an anniversary sale on many games this week in Canada and Madden is $20 off. |

That's pretty good.... but then again, your slow to arrive copy was free. On the flip side, by the time you get the game the first patch will be out. And I think you're going to want the patch. |

using Coffee's last slider set, I had 12 fumbles combined in two games but the thing that had me going was a game I was going to lose 49-34 with 2 and a half minutes to go, I super simmed and I lost 70-34
