Started the regular season yesterday and lost in OT to the Titans 27-24. I knew when they won the coin toss in OT I was done. Great game, good stats and only 1 int. for myself and the AI. I'm using a whole new different set of sliders that are a hybrid version of mine and MM's here. He's got some great ideas for sliders, but of course, I need to add my own touches here and there.
The magic bullet to getting good gameplay is the threshold slider/fatigue slider AND most of all-The gameplay speed slider. Some of you here are probably not going to like to hear this, but setting the gameplay speed on very slow (not slow) makes a whole new game. I actually had a unneccesary roughness penalty called on me! :waytogo: I watched the replay ,one of my db's gave a big arm shot to the neck of a runaway rb and flattened his ass like roadkill. It was worth the penalty just to see that. The animations that open up on very slow are amazing, to say the least. You owe it to yourself to try it. Yes, the game does play a little slower, but it is worth it.
You WILL see more animations and different gameplay from the good ole' "cookie cutter" style you are use to seeing from Madden every year.
Right now, I'm using 14 min. quarters with a 25 second runoff. Just right for the stats I want. I still like my last slider set but these new ones are somewhat tougher and a little more realistic.

I don't understand how the game speed affects so much in the game. I've read about many people talking about the animations, etc changing with the speed but why doesn't the game stay the same (just faster or slower)? I don't get it.

That is f**king rediculous if the game speed effects the animations that you see and how the game plays outside of the speed.

Coffee,
Sounds like a great game :waytogo:
Like you,I began my 2nd season on very slow....and DAYUM :y7: ......some of the different animations are cool as hell to see.
Everything just seems to have that "flooooowww" to it now. It's nice to see actual running lanes open up,as well as my once brain dead o-line actually blocking :headbang:

But I do gotta say....the nicest improvement I witnessed so far,is you can actually SEE the pocket forming :woot: ,and actually having time to move around in the pocket is a BIG plus.
I actually had 2 roughing penalties called on me last night  .....both were against Polamalu

I've made some tweaks to my sliders, nothing major though, and am still having some great games.
Here's a quick tip I picked up from OS (I can also verify this).....as far as your team getting sacks......for some reason the human pass reaction slider holds the key to the cpu getting rid of or holding on to the ball.

So in other words....if you have you pass reaction slider set to low,the cpu qb will get rid of the ball every time, whether he has an open man or not......BUT....with a higher setting, the cpu will hold the ball longer, and look for the open man on more occasions.

I'm currently testing a few different settings with hum pass reaction, but also....in order to reduce ints for yourself, the cpu qb acc will have to be adjusted. An easy fix,imo.. :y7:
