just curious whats your play calling tendencies, I notice I rely heavily on ask Madden, and would like to ween myself off ask Madden any solid offense or defense plays that should be in my repertoire
Depends on how you set the acc. clock. I use ask Madden alot because I have the clock set to go down quick. If you raise the acc. clock about 5 more seconds, then I go with the formation selections. As for now, I usually go with a coverage 3 or 4 or Under 2 and if things get iffy quick-I use that right stick and back off or spread the lb's or go for a bull rush blitz. Hope that answered your question.

One thing I've always found difficult in Madden is passing to a receiver running a fade out.

It seems that the ball never leads the receiver enough and the defensive player always find a way to tip the ball out of the air.

What advice do you guys have for this? Should I be lobbing it? Though, I feel like everytime I do that, I give the defensive player time to get to the ball. Or should I be zipping it? Of course, I do that and the defensive player jumps up and tips the ball away.

Perhaps it's a timing thing? Should I pass as the receiver breaks to his right/left? Should I wait a few after, before? Just can't get it done. I'd like to use the play more often but often times I'm afraid to use it because there's never any success for me.

That's a really good observation. I've got problems with this as well. The few times I have success with it is when the player breaks and starts running the fad out. And it's really been hit or miss. I've tried lobbing, bullets, and something in the middle, but to no avail is there anything that's accurate.

Fades are tough. I tend to lob it but not to an extreme level. Always lead the receiver as far as you can to the outside shoulder. For me, I also find using the d-pad to lead the receiver rather than the analog stick works better. Give that a try. I never user catch. Of course, these are my ideas from NCAA but I found using the d-pad going back to Madden '05 worked better than the analog stick.

I'll have to give the d-pad suggestion a try, Rudy. Thanks.
