Pasta released patch #2 details: http://www.pastapadre.com/10136/ncaa-football-10-patch-2-details Apparently progression and fatigue were not patched. They aren't on the list. Quite a few people are pissed. |

It's very true Ted. Everyone here knows that NCAA 10 disappointed me. There are a number of reasons with the camera being a big one. But I don't get how people can call the game a stinking piece of crap, rate it 2/10 and then call for the entire design team's head. Some people take this stuff too seriously. I still keep tabs on the series and am voting in the Wishlist Tournment over at NCAA Strategies for stuff I want next year. I would rate NCAA 10 a little below NCAA 09 but I'd still give it a 7/10. Furthermore, anyone that says the PS2 versions are a million times better than the PS3 versions are kidding themselves. Yes, those versions do have a lot more features and some cool stuff. But the line play was never realistic and they had their share of issues as well. I have no problem with people saying they liked the PS2 version better. But I don't see how you can score a PS2 game as a 9 or 10 and the PS3 version a 2. Exageration is king right now. |

Of continually say that NFL 2k5 did everything right... when it had it's share of issues as well. What stuck out to me about 2k5 is that the blocking and running game was fantastic, but I still play Madden 05 more since even though it was lacking 2k5s running game it had a better passing game, defensive controls, franchise, etc... That was my opinion. It's not hate on 2k5. I like 2k8 a lot better than 2k5! 2k5: I didn't care for franchise when you'd see QBs doing kick returns and the other various bugs in that mode which made it hard to play. Outside of adjusting to the NCAA 10 cam, I think that the game is pretty decent. Last year, when thinking about it, and seeing the videos you have Rudy, has better running animations. And it had less bugs than 10. Both games are like a 7 to me. |

I felt 2K5 was the best when it came to presentation (WAY better than Madden 05) and the line play. 2K4 and 2K5 still have a blocking engine far superior to anything EA has done to date. DEs could make an outside speed rush without having to fully engage an OT. Players blocked and moved at the same time - they didn't just slam into each other and wrestle Tecmo style. But Madden 05 beat it in most other categories. The polish, the franchise mode, the passing game, etc all seemed better to me. But playing defense was boring in Madden 05 and the terrible presentation really hurt that game for me. As for APF, it felt like a refined 2K6 but without real players and teams and lackluster graphics, it just couldn't hold my interest. |
