There may be a patch available at launch for Madden. I can't read Pasta's site at work but here is a link: http://www.pastapadre.com/9608/quick-madden-10-demo-thoughts#more-9608 Guys on OS are saying that the first patch will deal mainly with online dynasty issues. Patch #2 will be released tentatively for mid September and may include a broadcast camera (it's in the game but turned off because of bugs). The extra camera angle, mainly used in coach mode, may have to be added through DLC. http://www.osatwork.com/forums/showthread.php?t=338457 |

Kroiniq posted this at OS about online franchise not having salary cap currently and how it can be addressed in the future. http://www.osatwork.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2039892205&postcount=4 "it's indeed true that Madden 10 online franchise doesn't presently have a salary cap, trade logic, or any sort of CPU team management logic (CPU release / resign players, sign FAs, etc); everything had to be written as new for the server-side online app, which is why these things don't exist. The team felt (rightly) that getting multiple seasons with a dynamic draft interface and realistic player progression was more important for the success of this mode (and in my opinion, rightfully so). That said, it's been stated that online franchise is done completely server-side; that is, there's little-to-no code for it on the actual Madden 10 disc. As such, the team could update the app as they see fit throughout the season and more frequently than every August. In addition, there are options in the online app to allow for the implementation of robust house rules at the commissioner's discretion, such as waiver rules for free agency, locking of all teams' rosters (editable only by the commissioner), and so forth. A bit more legwork on the users' end, yes, but something is better than nothing." |
