It's funny that on default the NCAA team lets kickers hit 60 yarders and the Madden team makes kickers struggle to kick 45 yards. I noticed how weak the kicker was too and just thought I was screwing it up somehow.

Most people would probably laugh at my varsity settings on NCAA. I really throw some lame ass passes and have never been great at trying to figure out the best receiver to throw to in such a short opportunity window . Therefore, posting my sliders for any football game would probably be futile for any user beside myself-It would be too easy for most people- Oh well-That's the beauty of sliders,You set it up to play the way YOU want it to . I'd play on rookie level with all sliders in my favor IF that made it challenging the way I wanted it to be. Believe me, I still lose games with my "weirdo" sliders. I throw picks like a moron at times. About the Madden demo:I don't know if I will get the chance to d/l the demo before release, time is running out-I know. I just couldn't deal with 1 minute quarters-Doesn't seem worth the effort to even bother. Think I'll just wait and be surprised when Madden drops. I'm seeing ads at the stores and that's getting me fired up. Football season is close-A good time of the year!
DC, I've always been a fan of your sliders because I think that we have the same playing style, so I would appreciate it if you posted them, so I can give them a go The thing with my sliders is that on passing plays I always use the lock option and stay with the qb. If you didn't use that option, my sliders probably wouldn't work for you or anyone. I really like the lock option for all plays, except for short yardage runs (like 3rd and 2) and I don't use lock on option plays. It's fun to sit back and watch the whole field while a play unfolds rather than use whoever has the ball and miss other things on the field. Knowing that-If you are still interested, I could post the sliders. I just had to let you know that I have a bizarre way of playing NCAA this year. It seems player stats take over more when you are NOT controlling them.

Been out of the loop for a bit (damn internet was out for the week ) It did however give me time to really dig into the demo (as much as possible for 1 min). I'm really feeling good by what I'm seeing,I just wish we would've had longer q's though.....as I was hoping to see if the cpu adapted to my play calling. Playing on all-pro,I must say the game plays pretty damn good, the only issue I see...is the pass rush could use a little tweaking, and the fg kicking is REAL weak. I was playing a game using Dallas....and going for the win,I kicked a 25 yarder...but I was called for holding,so I thought.....heh,it's only a 35 yarder....well lo and behold, not only did I miss the fg (with full power) it fell short by about 5 yards . I don't mind missing fg's,but damn....short by 5 yards??...it would be different if I pulled the kick or slipped, but just to come up short like that?...hopefully it was due to the weather, but with the wind behind me (15 mph)...my kicker should've had NO problem nailing the kick.
MM, You and I seemed to like 2009 well enough last year. Yeah there's some things that were really nagging like Robo QB, but we had more fun with 09 than any of the other PS3/360 versions. When you get to play a full game you'll really like what you see. I've been playing the 5min demo and I'm really glad with what I've seen. And to know that there's a host of sliders to play with is great. As well as other sliders like gamespeed and the "speed differential" slider that impacts how wide the difference between fast and slow players is. I can only imagine IF NCAA adapts any of these gameplay tweaks and changes for 2011. That would be awesome. I think you're really going to be satisfied with the the feel of a full game. In the 5min demo I started double covering Arizona's WR (Fitz and Boldin) and started to shut the passing game down until the CPU shifted to throwing balls over the middle to open TE's and 3rd slot WRs who were able to burn past the MLB since I had double coverage on the Wideouts. That was awesome. Thanks for the info Ted I was real high on 09,till about a few weeks into it,then the issues really started popping up,like you mentioned.
This year FEELS different though, and that's what has me real excited for the retail version. Like I was saying earlier,I haven't been this excited for a football game since 2k5.
I mean,it improved 100% for me,when I watched as the cpu just flat out drops passes, hard hits seem to matter, and getting to the qb causes off line throws.
I've played the demo many, many, many times....and to be honest,I'm not in the least bit tired of it...well except for the 1 min quarters ...
I absolutely CANNOT wait to start a chise with my Steelers, and bring home #7

Just wait until next year when they have 30 second quarters! Just a natural progression!
