I'm not even going to post much more at OS on this topic. I've already been labeled a crybaby by a couple guys because I'm being too negative. I should just live with the worse camera angle. Oh well. I've made my decision and there isn't a point to really debate much more. I don't agree with the direction of the franchise and there is nothing I can do about it other than not buy the game anymore.
I seen that guy over there ripping into you.
What I don't get though.....the points raised in that thread were MORE than valid (yours included)
So,because somebody has an issue with certain areas we're supposed to "bend over" and take it?? and NOT say anything??....give me break.

Hell with that bro.....those damn cheerleaders over there are really making me sick. I don't see the need myself to even post there anymore, because it seems I have to lower my mentality to match their childish behavior.

I would disagree that patching console games is unacceptable. If a game ships and the community discovers some glitches or they decide to change things based on consumer feedback, that's fine. The CoD games have had glitches. CoD4 had a glitch where the sight for the ACOG (long range) scope was slightly off, making it very difficult to use it effectively. It was barely noticible with an automatic or burst fire weapon, but with an accurate single shot, like the popular G3, it was very apparant. Not a huge deal, but it made the ACOG available when they patched it. On the old Xbox, you would've had to deal with it.

There was also a game on the original Xbox, a very popular one at that, that had a fairly significant glitch that was abused and couldn't be patched. That game was Rainbow Six 3. In that game, you could lean out, bending to the right or left at the waist, to simulate looking around a corner. There was a glitch though, that if you did this, for some reason there was only one small section of your body that could be hit with bullets (right around the ear if I recall correctly). This was not patched, and continued to be a problem. It was still a good game, but could've been better had that glitch not existed. It wasn't fixed until the next game, Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow, came out, but then that game was riddled full of bugs too. Same thing with MVP 04. It was almost impossible to hit HR's with left handed batters unless you drilled the ball down the line. It had something to do with too much topspin on the ball when it got hit. It didn't ruin the game, but the game definetly would've benefitted from a patch.

So I think that patches for console games have been great. It allows dev teams to fix any problems that might have fallen through the cracks. The games are normally still playable without a patch, but this helps. Sports games, however, have taken advantage of the patch, and it seems like games need a patch day one to make it playable. That is unacceptable. Fixing small patches to improve small errors? Awesome development in modern games. Shipping awful, broken, unplayable games because you can fix it later? Lazy and unacceptable.

Fixing things for ONLINE play is cool.
I don't care for them having these kind of issues for mainly single player games.

It's that last part DJ that you wrote that is happening more and more and becoming the norm, much like for PC Games. The idea is to get the game in a playable form and then patch things later on and it's not small things they are patching either.

The Wii.
There might not be a lot of AAA games on there, but the ones that are were thoroughly tested. You don't see companies needed to patch Wii games because they know they can't thus they take the extra time to make the noticeable bugs not noticeable where as the majority of PS3/360 releases have notable bugs.

I think NCAA 10 is a perfect example of the patch system gone wrong. They knew 1 month before release there were major bugs and problems with the game. They chose to patch the game since it's cheaper but that game should have been fixed and repackaged, even with a slight delay in shipping, to get the game right.

I like patches but it promotes lazy developers at times.

Some guys have the real game early on OS. Without sliders, the pass rush is going to be a problem. I don't see anyone saying the cpu play calling has improved much either. USC calls a good game but they always did. How does the spread work this year? WR reverses and runs the way Florida uses the spread were done poorly in the past.
