I think it makes it a little harder to see down-field, but in real life things feel sort of like that. I can accept this camera, but I do hope for guys like Rudy and some of the others on OS that having 2 camera options (or more) become possible. |

Jim, you can share teambuilder teams across both platforms. I played a game with LSU against Georgia and lost again (oh well). I'm going to reduce the massive boosts I gave the cpu in the ground game since I was getting gashed by both the #1 Georgia back King (84 yards before injury) and his backup (over 100 yards). But it's nice to see sliders work. After that game, I popped '09 in for the same game to check out the differences. Quite frankly, I'm stunned at how much better '09 looks than '10. The graphics are much more crisp and I actually think the game is smoother and less choppy. The camera is a lot better (just my opinion, glad DJ and Ted like it for them) and I think the sound from the surround sound to the bands is also better. The crowd is different. In '09 they are low scaled polygons that just stand there. In '10 they are 2D people that look bad but jump around and look excited. I'm really not sure why the game looks quite a bit worse. Is it the crowds or the dynamic lighting? The laggy menus are so much better in '09 as well. There are some things I like about '10 - like the better sliders, running game and the cpu running game especially. But it's hard to fathom why they would take these backward steps in other areas. I don't get it. P.S. I don't think it's fair to say that '09 was "wide-open". It's fair on the default levels but I think with slider tweaks it could play defensive. '10 is quite offensive imo but I don't see that as being bad. Oklahoma put up over 60+ points in what 4 straight games? Florida scored at least 30 points in every SEC game (against good defenses). The average college team scores 27 points per game so all those people clamoring for a 10-3 game are crazy. Those low scoring games are usually the product of bad offenses, not good defenses. This year's NC was more defensive but good offenses are simply hard to contain in college football. Edited by Rudy, Jul 18 2009, 08:43 PM.

I did the same thing. Fired up Alabama @ LSU, Partly Cloudy, 6:00 PM, and I liked 10 a ton better. It was that awful sunset on 09 (which I HATED). The player models looked about the same, maybe slightly better on 09, but they moved more naturally between plays on 10 to me. And I liked 10's crowd more. They seemed to be more into the game. As far as the sound, I don't have surround sound (though I do have some new Turtle Beach headphones), but outside of the chants on 10, I think it's about the same. The drumlines are much louder, to me. I think a lot of it's a preference thing. So far I like 10's overall presentation better than 09. 10 feels more like being at a college game, 09 is more like what you see on TV. Neither one is where it should be in those regards, but that's the feeling I get. The crowd seems more into it on 10, but you get more replays/stats on 09. I'm still liking 10 a lot. Just waiting for sliders. I got frustrated last year a bit, because I felt like I had to stop playing as a DL and play as a LB. I like playing as a DL, because rushing the passer, for me, is the most fun thing to do in football (in a video game, or real life). I feel like I can actually do that on 10. I got bored on defense in 09, because I either played a DL that got stuck against an o-lineman and couldn't do anything, or get to use a LB in coverage, which I didn't enjoy. 10 lets me play D-Line again. Outside of the gameplay stuff, I'm still loving progressive lighting. Even though it's play-by-play (it's every quarter or half, one of the two) it adds a lot to me. I hated how I barely got to play in any night games in dynasty last year. I also love the unis (I think I may do an Oregon or UNC dynasty - or both - they both have a lot of good uni combos). Named rosters will be out for 360 tonight, and then hopefully Dk will work on his edited ones after that (I loved his rosters last year). |

Not to start a console war, but the 360 version looks pretty damn good compared to last year. I'd say it's at least equal to last year. I have heard unflattering things about the PS3 version. Rudy, check out my teams if you get time! |

I've put in Quint75 as the author on the PS3 and I can't find his stuff. I go online to Teambuilder and it says that his rosters are 360. I guess this is something we're going to have to request from EA to change. |
