Smoother describes it very well. I think it has to do with slower players being faster than last year, and faster players being slower. Honestly, as far as the on-field product, it reminds me a lot of Madden 09 (kinda like how NCAA 09 resembles Madden 08's gameplay). But I'm not bored playing. The crowd chants (I've starting seeing them) are pretty awful, but the crowd reactions are pretty good. They're loud. I'm also playing with Turtle Beach headphones I just got, and that helps with the sound a lot. |

There are almost 1100 people on the NCAA OS forums right now and over 600 in the roster section alone! |

I think that OS went down yet again, lol! I have tried logging in and it keeps crashing. Like Donkey says, there are problems with this game and I can care less on those that keep defending the game. The little I played, I do notice a bit better gameplay and smoothness over NCAA 09. The running game is much much better and being able to finally see holes open up and deciding to go through them is what was needed. Rudy, if you can get this used or even trade something in to offset the price, I would go for it. I haven't tinkered with the sliders, but like everyone says that most of the sliders are broken. It sounds like the patch will fix most of that. Like I was telling Hank a few days ago, I don't understand some of the games this generation. I take Fight Night 4 as an example. We have waited 3 years for a new game in the series, while FN4 is great in some areas, there are other areas that really ruin the game. One that really throws me off is how much Stamina is messed up in the game and it was released with that. Or no option for face buttons. I prefer TPC, but something with the right analog stick on the PS3 doesn't work right for TPC and I was not the only one to say that. When we think EA fixes things...........they mess something else up. |

I played another game. It was pretty good. Much more offense in this one. I was Colorado @ Nebraska, and I won 45-24. They actually had a 14-7 early, and it was 28-24 at the half. But a 17 point 3rd quarter did them. I'm torn between Heisman and AA. I was hoping to play AA, but it's already feeling too easy, after two games. My starting QB was 4 of 7, then my backup came in, completed his first 11 passes, and ended up 16 of 21 (20 of 28 overall). Passing with a more pro set offense was MUCH easier for me. Running is still really good for me though - 40 carries for 175 for my starter (4.3 ypc) and 9 carries for 26 for his backup (2.8 ypc). So I'm not really tearing it up there. Nebraska's RB had 79 yards on 16 carries (4.9 ypc), but 68 of that came on one run. Their QB was 19 of 29 for 292 yards. Considering I felt like he was tearing me apart, that's not too bad actually. Pass-rush wise, I didn't get a whole lot of pressure. Maybe 10 hurries the whole game, 3 sacks. I played part of a game last night (I quit when I threw 3 ints in the first quarter and a half - I was way too tired to make reads) and the pressure was much better. Playing Kansas with Missouri (on a neutral site - I love endzone art), I really got after the QB. If I remember correctly, Reesing had 25 pass attempts. I had 11-13 hurries, I think 5 knockdowns, and 3 sacks. That's a lot of pressure. I was blitzing more than I normally do, but still, def. not every play. People can knock the pass rush, and it still isn't quite where it should be, but it's much better than last year. I'm gonna give AA more of a shot. Do we know if any of the sliders work? Is it just the blocking sliders that are broken, or all of them. I know when they are patched, cpu pass block needs to go down a lot, hum a little, cpu run block needs to go up a lot, hum a little. And cpu awarenees and/or knockdowns need to go up. |

I just thought about it, I think part of the reason I'm having so much success stopping the run is because I keep my D-line set to aggresive to get a pass rush. So they're jumping the snap every play to get to the RB. Not sure what to do about this. Ugh I hope the sliders work. If they do, I'm buying (for a reduced price, of course). |
