OS got an early copy and have posted their initial impressions after 5 games. Sliders and pass rush are an issue. A full review will be up by the release date. He said it's more defensive than last year but that the crowd chants suck. I was hoping the crowd chants were a demo issue. I'm beginning to think the same junk in the demo is in the retail version.

Rudy are you really surprised that the demo is what the game was going to be like?

There's a reason for a Day 1 patch (but probably will make it in week 2).

Sad at what this Series has become.

The game is basically more balanced out of the box but it doesn't seem like a big upgrade. Like I said in my demo impressions, a tweaked 09 is far better than the demo and the sliders don't work in NCAA 10. If anyone likes to tweak sliders, there is no good reason to rush out and buy this right away. The pass rush is broken and you might as well wait for the first patch.

Ted, I'm not surprised that the retail copy is playing like the demo. I think it's foolish when anyone claims the retail version will be significantly different than the game.

I now understand why Adam Thompson (OMT) said on OS that NCAA 10 plays much different than NCAA 09. One - he's not a real gameplay designer and only plays as a DL when on defense. Two - he probably only plays on default. Most people will tweak a game to get it to play the way you want. I've tweaked the heck out of NCAA 09. With tweaks, NCAA 10 will probably give me a similar experience other than the cpu throwing deep, better pursuit angles and a crappy camera angle.

Good points about Adam.
