They found the coding issue causing the sliders not to work for NCAA 10. Russ said it was related to something they weren't expecting. We still don't know how sensitive they are. More positive impressions rolling in.
It's always positive for the first couple of weeks and then once people get time with the game they all end up with some of the same complaints.

I expect reviews for NCAA to be all over the place... and Madden to be high across the board.

Then maybe the NCAA Team will see that pandering to the hardcore might have been a better approach.
I disagree. Out of curiosity, I checked last year's impressions thread and they were overall pretty negative. There were some people defending the game, but in general the arguments were pretty weak. The only real positive impressions I saw from last year's game were stadium sounds.

I'll wait until the patch is out to rent the game and decide what I'll do from there. I think the negativity going into the game as far as it not being for the hardcore was way overdone. They have done a lot for the hardcore, I think, and added a lot of what we seem to have wanted. The only thing we're not sure about yet is pass rush and cpu rushing (the second of those seems already better on default than we could get it with sliders last year, though still not where it should be). So it could go either way. It seems pretty clearly better than last year, though it may not still be improved enough to justify a $60 purchase.

For me, after impressions, it's at least worth a rental. But not until the patch is out (there's no point in getting it before the patch)

Sounds like a good plan. :waytogo:

I was gonna get it tomorrow, but with the patch coming out so quick, I can wait. I haven't really gotten my football itch yet.

Progressive Lighting and Mix and Match unis are just so tempting. I think I want to do a UNC dynasty (since Oregon changed their unis, and the new ones aren't in the game).
