I'm having a lot of fun Ted. And I do have a ton of tough games coming up starting with Penn State. But I'm undefeated in green! Let's hope that continues.

#4 PSU (2-0) @ #6 Miami (2-0)

It's a Cane Thing! The Hurricanes destroy Penn State 45-14 and prove to the nation this team is for real.

Penn State's offense was terrible for the first half of the game - specifically the QB J.Lee as he went 3 for 12 with 2 picks and a pick 6 TD in the first half alone. Miami led 21-0 at the half although Graig Cooper only averaged 3.5 yards per rush. In the second half, it was the PSU defense's turn to stink up the joint as they allowed a ton of big plays for TDs. Miami led 42-0 midway through the 3rd and brought in a bunch of backups after that. The Hurricanes Green uniforms must be kryptonite to other teams!

As a team, Miami rushed 34 times for 382 yards and 5 TDs! PSU punted 9 times and was only 2-15 on 3rd down. They actually got the ball to midfield many times but couldn't get much closer for much of the game.

Here's a nice shot of me leveling the PSU QB:

Here's a long run by Cooper up the middle. A nice cut back on a block and he's gone!

Miami Stats
J.Harris 7-13 53%, 122 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT, 2 sacks
G.Cooper 17-214 12.5 ypc, 3 TD
L.Miller 13-147 11.3 ypc, 2 TD

PSU
J.Lee 14-26, 198 yards 2 TD, 2 INT, 1 sack
S.Green 17-40, 2.3 ypc
J.Lee 9-28, 3.1 ypc

Miami goes to #3 in the polls and has one first place vote. USC is #1 and Clemson is #2 right now. Go on the road @ NC State next.

I'm 96 overall as a team and still 99 on defense. My front 7 is really strong as 6 of my 7 starters are rated between 88 and 95 with my other ILB an 84. I think at least four of them are 90+. I'm running a full 3-4 defense now. My secondary is actually pretty decent with my safeties and #1 CB in the upper 80s but my #2 to #4 CBs are all upper 70s. This is the best team I've had.

#3 Miami goes on the road twice and comes back 5-0! (I'm going to shorten these two up).

First game against NC State and Miami wins 24-6. The defense came up big and Travis Benjamin had a couple big punt returns. None for TDs but still got 160 yards on them to help set up offense which stalled at times. Graig Cooper still rushed 21 times for 158 yards and 2 TDs. I'm going to have to check his Heisman status. Lamar Miller also rushed 11 times for 51 yards. Defense forced 7 punts.

The second game was a 52-7 drubbing of Duke. After the game Herbstreit actually called it a severe beating. This is why Duke is a basketball school. Benjamin returned the opening kickoff for a TD and then Duke returned theirs for a TD which was their only score. Cooper rushed 19 times for 208 yards and 2 TD and was benched halfway through the 3rd quarter. The defense played great as they forced Duke to punt 9 times and returned 2 INTs for TDs.

Up next are three tough games against A opponents - possibly as good as me. Florida State is first and I have a bunch of recruits coming in. Then I have Georgia Tech and North Carolina. Toughest stretch of the season right now. I'm 5-0, still ranked #3 but since Clemson is #2, I control my destiny to the Championship game.

Here are a couple of nice passes from both games.
