I give them a pass on the rosters. It's because of the Sam Keller situation, period. His lawsuit that their rosters represent real players even though their not named kind of tied their hands there. NCAA and Madden are both maybes this year. Madden did a lot of things right last year, but NCAA was still more fun for me. I'm not looking at what Madden has but NCAA didn't. Madden had more features last year, but I liked NCAA more. NCAA has insane amounts of unis this year, improved cpu running game/passing game (from what I've read). So I think it might be a good one. But I'll probably wait to find it on ebay or something. As far as Madden, last year's game was just boring. So I'll rent it, and if it's fun, I'll probably pick it up. I wasn't a huge fan of 08, and I didn't like 09. The last two years are the only years I've ever played more NCAA than Madden. |

I honestly feel the Keller lawsuit has nothing to do with the rosters. Some are good and some are bad. Not that big a deal to me but it's just a pattern of sloppy work. Madden will also have better sidelines and refs on the field. Not a huge deal but again, NCAA doesn't have it. I think Madden is doing a lot more with presentation as well (I miss the old NCAA cutscenes on the PS2). |

A few other things: the injury system in Madden is more detailed. Plus Madden defenses can now have hybrids for teams that give 3-4 and 4-3 looks along with other new formations. Not to be found in NCAA. |

They were probably working on the rosters when the legal department told them to stop. Hence their incomplete nature. Not a huge deal anyway, sense there is still EA locker. I don't use the stock rosters anyway. Don't get me wrong, they should be adding more, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad game. Despite all of it's flaws, a lot of peoples still liked last year's game and they seem to have improved on it, just maybe not as much as Madden has this year. |
