Demo impressions are actually pretty favourable on OS right now.

I liked this post. Maybe there is hope for me yet with NCAA 10.

One thing I'm impressed with is that throws that were previously auto-completions for me in 09 (slants, quick hitches) do not seem to be in this demo. I was pumped to see a ball fly over the receiver's head on the slant, and the hitches actually seem to be covered.

In my OD in 09, we had issues with people abusing weak coverage on the HBs and TE. I'm not going to say it's totally fixed after a little bit of time with the demo, but these receiving options do not appear to be automatic, on heisman at least.

I was as critical as anyone of the videos OS has been putting up (though I did not share my thoughts on here), but if the demo is an accurate representation of how the full game will play, I don't think the videos do it justice. I got sacked by the AI on a cover 2 with a 4 man rush. I've felt pressure several other times. I think the pass rush IS hit or miss, but I think it should be to an extent. Again, I'm not going to jump to conclusions just based on the demo, but I'm feeling a lot better having played the demo myself, than I did after watching the OS videos.

As for overall feel, it does seem to be a bit different from 09. The game looks exactly the same, but for whatever reason (animations, maybe?) if FEELs slower and more natural.

It's still not perfect, and I'm not going to lie, I am anticipating Madden MUCH more than NCAA at this point, but this demo has given me some hope. I was of the opinion that NCAA 09 with some tweaks would be a solid, playable game, and the demo leaves me thinking that this is exactly what 10 may be.

Well, just in the short time I've had with the demo,I know for absolutely sure I won't be buying this game.
I couldn't stand to even get through the 4 2min quarters, before I was bored to death.

The one thing that SHOULD separate the college game from the pro game is atmosphere, and NCAA doesn't cut it. I felt the same exact way after last years game...bored to tears.

It's BEEN time for them to upgrade the commentary,I'm sick of hearing the same things dating back to last gen,as far as the gameplay goes.....

After playing the demo (which is probably 98% of what we'll see on release) I'm now thoroughly convinced....the team that works on this game just doesn't get it.

Rudy,bro....I've said this before, but I'll say it again. I really hope you get out of this franchise what you're hoping for....based on what I've seen and played though, until they get some sort of direction as far as gameplay goes, this series is all but dead to me.

It seems to me that the current devs are more content with adding fluff features, over getting the gameplay and presentation (that is very important in the college game) down.

I sincerely wish you the best Rudy :waytogo:

Ok....let me retract alot of what I said earlier.
I tried it out again on Heisman, and it did seem to actually play a little better. I had initially played on AA.

I beat Florida on a last second td pass 14-10,with Florida's only td coming off a kick return.
If the sliders get patched (again)....I truly believe Heisman will be the way to go this year.

The lack of pass rush is really killing me though, but I was actually surprised being on Heisman,I wasn't getting killed. I actually started to have a nice running game going, but Florida adjusted, and completely killed that.

The thing that bothered me however, was that Florida never adjusted to the pass, leading to some nice pass plays, but I thought they would or should've done better adjusting to the pass.
