I had numbers calculated at work based on the average NL numbers in 2009 but my team stats are pretty good in some areas and off in others. I couldn't post it at work and forgot to bring the sheet home lol. But the biggest discrepancy in my team stats are in walks and walks allowed. My hitting stats are pretty good for the most part. My team batting average is .271 while the NL average was .259. Pretty darn close. My doubles and triples are a little low. I think I have 155 after 93 games and I should have about 165. I have about 15 triples and should have about 20. My HRs are on the high side as I have 112 and should only have 89. Overall though I think the numbers are pretty realistic other than walks. As a percentage of hits, my singles and HRs are a little too high and doubles and triples too high. I think that's because the outfielders get to balls too quickly and this is with fielder speed at 0 the entire year. Remember, the game still records doubles and triples incorrectly as a single with a fielder's choice play where a batter gets to second is recorded as a double so those numbers are probably even lower. I've read that with the new ball physics we should see more extra base hits this year in the Show. It would be a bit nice to see a few more doubles down the line and some gap shots not get tracked down. I might be able to fix the walks issued by setting my pitch difficulty to HOF and fine-tuning it this year as we can play with split difficulty levels. I don't know if I'll ever be able to get enough walks but it might be possible by slowing down the pitch speed. I'm a hacker so that may never be fixed. It's like watching a team of Pudge's bat all game long. Walks just won't happen. I guess the other question is do I truly want a realistic number of walks (about 3 or so a game)? Right now I think I average less than one a game so getting something closer to 2 (on both sides of the equation) would be nice. I don't give up many walks as a pitcher because I probably give in a little too much and also have a little too much control on the mound (even though I have user pitch control at 0 on All-Star - can't go any lower). But that's compensated by giving up enough hits and HRs as my ERA is 4.39. The league average in 2009 was 4.19 so that's pretty darn close too. Edited by Rudy, Jan 28 2010, 06:59 PM.

Well my pitchers have allowed 889 hits and 108 HRs. It doesn't track doubles or triples. I've given up 422 runs with 405 ER. I've actually issued 179 walks which is more than I thought but I still lead the league in fewest allowed. I've struck out 605 and hitters are batting .287 and .263 (right/left) against me. |

Another win for the Reds! 5 in a row! Gomes blasted a hanging curveball 429 feet and I used a couple walks and small ball to score some needed runs. Cordero got his 9th save in a row.![]() ![]() ![]()

Not sure how much more I'm going to be playing or posting. The demo for 10 will be out soon and I don't want to get burned out on the game. In a low scoring game, I ended up scoring three runs to take a 3-1 lead against the Dodgers and blew it, losing 4-1 in the bottom of the 9th. Volquez deserved better. Game 1 vs the Cubs and I took my worst beating in Show history losing 19-1. I've got screenshots but it ain't pretty. David Weathers came in and gave up 5 runs and got 0 outs after Harang was terrible. Weathers will be traded soon for a bucket of balls. |
