Well I'm 26-31 and heading into a series with the Nationals. The terrible thing is I'm 9-20 at home and 17-11 on the road. Maybe the Show needs to institute a home field advantage for me! Hairston Jr. is healthy and starting at 2B. Most of my guys are well rested now and they needed it. I'm about 9 games back of first place in my division but a lot of time left. I think I've scored 251 runs and given up 273.

I had what might have been the longest game of the season for me (maybe all time). I beat the Cubs (had a day off the next day) 4-3 on a walkoff HR by Jay Bruce (only hit of the game) in the bottom of the 16th! Nobody scored more than a single run in an inning and we both scored single runs in the 7th, 8th, 13th and then I finally won it in the 16th having used 7 pitchers and was warming up a starter.

Thames had been 0-5 with 3Ks until the extra innings when he had a triple and double but I couldn't cash him in. I thought I blew it in the 13th (or 14th) when I allowed a run. Should have changed my defense to protect the lines. With two outs, newly acquired backup 1B Jeff Larish singled with two outs to drive in the tying run at the bottom of the inning.

Finally I got into the 16th inning and Jay Bruce hit a walkoff HR for the win! It was his only hit but he had 3 walks. I had 6 walks as a team which was my most ever although two were intentional. Twice they did it to Bruce to get to Larish. I'm still tense from the game. Damn rumble controller was rumbling at the START of the innings late in the game. Whew!!

My team really needs this next day off after that. We're all exhausted.

For reference, I think it's June 8th of the season (I just played a Sunday game) and I think I'm 4 games under .500.

That had to be freaking AWESOME! :headbang:

I'm amazed you're diving back into The Show considering it's not even baseball time of the year.

But there's all kind of baseball news right now, especially with the Tigers. And the football games this year disappointed me. My only football game is NCAA 09 and after 150 games, you get tired of the same engine and the same flaws. When you pop the Show in, the game has its issues but the quality is so good and the game represents the real game of baseball so well that it's just fun to play. So I'm going with that right now.

Game 1 vs the Nationals - Reds win 7-4.

I gave up 4 runs in the 5th inning with Harang. Other than that bad inning he pitched well. I was down 4-1 going into the 8th when their starter got in trouble. They brought in Tallett (lefty - Jays actually) to pitch to Chris Dickerson who has been struggling and he belted a 3 run HR to tie the game. Later in the same inning, Thames hit a solo blast to put me up 5-4. Then in the 9th inning, Raburn hit a 2 run HR to help seal it. I got in a little trouble in the 9th but still won 7-4.
