Im impressed that Harrang got another win for you. And I'm surprised that you saw the CPU drop a fly ball. |

My team ERA dropped from the high 4's to the low 4's (around 4.36 after two back to back shutouts). I grabbed some screenshots but have been pretty lazy to post them to the web lately. ![]() Final game against the Padres on the road and can Arroyo complete the shutout sweep? Nope! In fact, his line ended up as 5 1/3 IP and 4 runs given up but he actually pitched much better than that. He had only given up 1 run through 5 innings. He pitched well. I had a 4-1 lead and a day off coming up. He got in a bit of trouble in the 6th inning and was tired so I brought in a reliever who allowed two of the men on base to score. All charged to Arroyo and there were two plays that my late jump on the ball (infield and outfield) allowed base hits where they could have possibly been outs. Thames lack of speed in LF didn't help either. The Padres tied it up at 4 but in the bottom of the 8th inning, I pinch hit (Norris I believe who is no longer on the Reds team and I sent him down for Gomez after the game) and got a doulbe. Cashed him in and Cordero got the save. 5-4 win and sweep! Petco Park is beautiful though. Really nice park and I love the RF corner. Votto hasn't hit many HRs lately but he's been getting quite a few doubles. Encarnacion blasted a 406 foot HR to dead center! Petco is deep in the outfield but not overly deep in dead center. A unique wall. http://www.ballparks.com/baseball/national/sdobpk.htm Dimensions: Left field: 334 feet; left-center: 367 feet; center field: 396 feet; deepest right-center: 411 feet (2004), 402 feet (2006); right-center: 387 feet; right field: 322 feet. Fences: Left field: 4 feet; center field: 7 feet; right field: 12 feet; right field porch: 10 feet. Edited by Rudy, Apr 17 2009, 07:31 AM.

I should say that Brandon Phillips got an injury before the game and I had to replace him with his backup. Sucked because I had a day off the next day. But then my backup got hurt in the game! What I didn't like hearing was them telling me he had suffered a hamstring injury before the game and tried to gut it out. That's not what happened and he actually had a blister I think as his official injury. Did they think Phillips was still in the game or was this just a coincidence? |

Got my first game in 5 days in last night. What a drought! And my 3 game winning streak is over. I lost 6-2 to the Phillies. They had Moyer on the mound and he threw so freaking slow it killed my timing. His fastball was 80-83 mph and some of his slower stuff was upper 60's. Cueto was on the mound and had his worst outing. I just didn't have command of my fastball. His slider was working pretty good but the fastball killed me. He went 5 innings but gave up 5 runs in the first three innings. Ryan Howard blasted a fastball on an 0-2 count where I was trying to get him to chase a low and outside fastball. I tried to spot it at least 6 inches outside of the zone and I missed by two feet as it ran to the inside heart of the plate and he crushed it. |

Damn that Ryan Howard! So the thing with Phillips and the backup getting hurt... was that an audio glitch or I am misreading? |
