I think I was wrong in my last post. I won last night 7-0 and am now 11-18. Still bad but I only have 18 losses right now. Thames smacked two home runs although I'm not sure why the video above isn't working.

Johnny Cueto is the man. 6 IP, 4 H, 2 BB and 7 Ks - zero runs allowed. He's 4-1 on the year and his ERA is around 1.75. Going to try to get on a roll.

I might post the screenshots more sporadically now and do more meaningful season stats from time to time. Not sure yet.

I lost another game 4-2 to fall to 10-19. Yeesh! I was no hit through 5 innings and rallied in the 7th only to have Chris Dickerson commit an absolutely bonehead attempt of going from 1st to third on a single to LF. Killed my rally. Arroyo gave up a leadoff HR but was actually good. He gave up 5 hits through 6 innings although 2 were home runs. Just poorly timed hits for me as they cashed in on all their opportunities.

I'm leading 3-0 in the bottom of the first in my next series though. Brandon Phillips led off with a HR and Thames smacked a HR as well. Jay Bruce is sitting. The bum is hitting only .186 right now.
Surprised to hear that Arroyo didn't blow it for you.

Lost last night 6-4 and it was frustrating. I'm cruising along with a 4-0 lead through 5 and my fifth starter is pitching well (Micah Owings). Then he runs out of gas in the 6th. I bring in a reliever who struggles badly and tops the inning off by giving up a 3 run shot to Kalil Greene. Five runs later I'm down 5-4 and lose 6-4.

Harang and his 0-5 record with 9.00 ERA takes the mound in game two of the three game series against the Cardinals. I'm having to rest some starters here and there since this 25 games in 26 day schedule is taxing my squad. Even some of my 5 man rotation are taxed slightly before their next start. It's 2-2 in the third inning right now. Kalil Greene hit another HR but Pujols only has one hit in the series (I've been VERY careful with him and he's walked at least once I think).

When things get frustrating then it's time to jack the game down a difficulty setting so you can have fun again.

I refuse to drop down right now! I just won a game 3-1 with Harang going 7 innings and getting his first win! Brandon Phillips got the day off but pinch hit late in the game and hit a solo HR. He then came out for a curtain call. First time I've seen that. I didn't get a lot of hits but 5 of the 6 were for extra bases.

I had Cordero get the final 4 outs in a tight game. They pinch hit Ankiel for the pitcher in the 9th inning and he hit one deep to centerfield. Check out this replay.

I can't remember robbing many home runs (if any) the last couple years. Sweet! I'm now 12-19 with the Reds.
