Game 2 against the Cubs and the best pitcher on my staff this year has easily been Cueto. He pitched a gem as the pitchers were getting tired of me ragging on them. Cordero came on for his second save but still gave up a run for the second straight game as Fukodome took him deep in the 9th inning. I am going to change starter fatigue for the user up to 7. I had to pull Cueto after 74 pitches as he was nearly spent. My last starter was done after 70 pitches. That's just too soon. With bullpen fatigue at 0, that may be a little low but I love how it forces you to use all of your bullpen. ![]()

Through 15 games I'm back up to 6-9 having won three straight. League leaders in Average, HRs and RBI are posted below. Encarnacion (my 3B) is doing very well for average while Joey Votto is among the league leaders in HRs and leads the league in RBI. He's played in all 15 games but will finally get a rest next game.![]() ![]() ![]()

The Reds sweep the Cubbies! The last two games were pitcher gems and Volquez finally gave me a good start! The highlight reel was nearly empty at the end of the game. I scored from 3rd on a pass ball for the only run in a 1-0 victory. The ump had a really tight strike zone too. Twice on one batter the ump called strike 3 a ball. The guy got on base too. But he squeezed the Cub pitchers as well. You can see the series .avg was lousy for both sides but my pitchers did well for once. ![]() ![]()

Aaron Harang took the mound against Derek Lowe for game 1 of the Braves series. He was 0-3 and looking for his first win after a poor start to the year. Harang got the first 7 batters out before the wheels came off. In one of the worst pitching performances in memory, Harang surrendered 5 home runs in the 4th and 5th innings! The Braves hit two more home runs as they defeated the Reds 9-5 on a windy night. Every mistake pitch was crushed by the Braves. Chris Dickerson led off the game for the Reds with a home run and Phillips and Votto also hit bombs. An ugly pitching game. I think the amount of wind in the Show is too strong actually. I wonder if it's early in the year as to why the winds are so high? I've decided to raise human bullpen fatigue to 1 (-4). Cordero pitched two straight games and after two days of rest is still tired. It's a little too extreme. Here are a couple of home run videos: Edited by Rudy, Mar 20 2009, 10:12 PM.
