They're pretty horrible Their offense is pretty weak. They've got Ichiro and Beltre, but Lopez is pretty up and down, and no one knows what to expect from Griffey. And Branyan is their 1st baseman. Bullpen is even worse. They don't have a closer, or even an effective setup man, really. Closer is between Mark Lowe, David Aardsma, and Miguel Batista. Rotation is fun though. Felix, Bedard, Washburn, Silva, and Rowland-Smith or Morrow. Three games into my new franchise (on 2k8), my rotation has been dominant. Felix went 7 innings and gave up 1 er, Bedard struck out 13 and gave up 2 er in 6 1/3, and Washburn gave up 1 er in a complete game. But because of my terrible offense/bullpen, I only won Washburn's start. But I like playing with bad teams and making them better (that's why I used the Royals a few years ago). |

thanks for the scouting report DJ, I'm the same way I like playing with bad teams so I can see if I can turn them around. |

I think Seattle's pitching does look pretty decent this year. I wonder if it will be enough to win the West though. |

It's basically the same team as last year, minus Ibanez, Putz, Sexson, add Griffey, Guttiriez and Branyan. And last year's team wen 61-101. They're not particularly young either - the only really young guys are Clement, Lopez, Guitierrez, and Hernandez. I could see them winning 80 games if Felix and Bedard are both dominant and Silva returns to form. Silva had a 6.46 era last year. And closer is between Lowe (5.35 era), Aardsma (5.55 era) and Batista (6.26 era). Even when the starting pitching does well, is they don't finish the game, they're in real trouble. They have absolutely no chance at winning the West. Last place is likely. |

I finally got the roster updates (yea-I'm slow ) I have tried multiple games in the Show 09 using the Dodgers/Cardinals/A's/Red Sox and Cubs. I'm going Dodger blue again after all the hoo-ha I went through, testing sliders with different teams and restarting seasons. Sometimes, experimating with different gameplay requires using teams of different skills.
