My fear for NCAA 11 is that the Madden team implemented so much this year that there's no way that the NCAA team will be able to get in even HALF of what the Madden team did, mainly because they are a smaller team.

One poster on OS told me over the messenger/AIM thing (whatever that is) that members of the NCAA team believe Madden will fail this year since they are catering to the hardcore too much.
If this is true, based on what I've believed beforehand (NCAA team not getting it) about this years version, this REALLY cements it.

I haven't played the show, but from what I've read about it,producing a game as sim as possible would NOT alienate gamers like the NCAA devs think it would.

IMO....this is nothing more than the typical excuse from EA. I would be willing to bet based on the changes Madden has seemed to make thus far,it's going to stomp the hell out of NCAA this year.

IF this happens.....what will be the excuse then??

We'll just get more of the same excuses....or,maybe they should expand the dev team...or,get somebody in there to push this game in the direction it needs to go,instead of worrying about adding fluff features.

Correct the CORE gameplay first!....give us several options to alter the game the way WE see fit.
After that is done....make damn sure the features currently in the game work properly (sliders) before adding more fluff.

If they stop focusing on crap like season showdown maybe the NCAA team will revert to form. At this point though I don't think the NCAA team will get good again until there is someone else in charge. Ben Haumiller and Russ Kiniry both seem like they want a different game than the hardcore fans. There is a big time disconnect.

I think they proved their direction with the comments about Madden being more for the hardcore this year being a bad idea. That it will fail.

NCAA decided to try and become more "Madden" like which is insane. People buy the Madden name because of THE NAME now. Not because Madden has been a quality product on the PS3/360. It used to be VERY good (to quite a few of us) back on the PS2/Xbox.

I'm sort of hoping for NCAA too fail now because of their asinine comments.
