I officially cancelled my pre-order at EB Games and moved it towards Uncharted 2. NCAA 10 just isn't worth full price, especially with that new camera angle and broken sliders again. I was tempted though as EB Games Canada has a good deal right now. Trade in two games (minimum $8 trade value) and you can get FNR4, TW 10 or NCAA 10 for only $19.99. Considering our full price games are C$69.99 right now that's pretty good. |

Think you might wait on a used copy after the 1st and 2nd patch? |

After a couple patches I might consider it. But the sliders HAVE to work well. The new camera annoys me and that won't be fixed so the impressions better be good. I didn't see much in the demo to make me think this game was improved a lot. The cpu QBs still seem to get rid of the ball too fast to avoid sacks and the pass rush was neutered. It seems as though the QB AI still isn't great and we'll see too many picks. They keep masking this by boosting the pass blocking. The cpu QBs also don't scramble properly still either. I do like the cpu going deep and the over the shoulder catches. But the retail version has to be a lot better than the demo. With how sloppy the demo was and how many mistakes this game has that we know of before it even comes out, I'm betting there will be a ton of bugs and issues with the game. It won't even take long to find them. And people will be blaming QA on these problems. They should be blaming the game developers. Testers are the ones that find bugs like not being able to convince a junior to stay in school in an online dynasty. Blatant gameplay problems should be diagnosed by the guys programming that stuff. I really think the guys working on NCAA are clueless. People say that they share the same gameplay resources. Well we share a lot of stuff at work but I still have my own projects and so do my peers. Some of my peers are more challenged in writing the code we use and I know a few people aren't that good. I think the same thing is happening here. The Madden team has the tools and knows how to use them. The NCAA team is like a bunch of highly trained monkeys working on a car but still not fixing it. |
