I'm not sure why they wouldn't do it this year either although it's a bit unclear if the uniform rule is conference specific or done by the NCAA.

the rule was put in after USC/UCLA agreed to lose a timeout and take a penalty during the game so they can continue a past tradition and the NCAA knew that they would circumvent the rule from now on year in year out so they changed the rule. |

IGN had a hands on review that said the game is the same as last year with some new features. OMT blasted him on OS. The IGN guy did sound clueless. Gamespot had a better sneak peak. http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/sports/ncaafootball10/news.html?sid=6209597&mode=news |

OMT did get defensive on OS. He said that Madden has been getting all the pub due to great blogs by Ian but that the NCAA team has been hand tied by their marketing department. He went on to say that everyone is assuming Madden's gameplay > NCAA and he said it's not true. He also said it's unfair to make that assumption by people since nobody has played both games. There is supposed to be one more major gameplay feature in NCAA that hasn't been revealed. |

OMT's exact response: IGN - IGN - There's no doubt that it feels very similar to last year's NCAA on the field. The default gameplay camera angles are the same, animations are carried out at the same speed and the general ebb and flow on the field is the same that I remember from years gone by. That's certainly not a bad thing, but it's definitely going to feel like familiar territory to series veterans.
