I just played a 1/2 game with PSU against OSU. I was trailing 28-21 at half time (I had to shut if off since I did this just before I left on Wednesday). It was fun. Pryor broke off a 60+ yard TD run against me and Wells was actually running on me too. (Still no deep passes).

But one thing jumped out at me after a long layoff. The movement of the players is just bad. The weight and herky-jerkiness just doesn't feel right. Especially after playing the Show and NBA Live where players feel like baseball and basketball players respectively. I don't come close to feeling like a football player. The PS2 feel was much better. I hope that this is improved drastically for NCAA 10.
I still feel the that the PS2/Xbox games were very well done outside of the suction blocking and sort of crappy running game.

I found an older blog for Madden where they did a lot of work on the player movement and momentum. It was a great read and I can only hope some of this finds its way into NCAA.

The first video they showed had a 90 degree turn rate at full speed for the PS2 at 5 yards where as the PS3/360 current turn rates are an unrealistic 1 yard.

They show the new video for Madden 10 and the turn rate is now around 5yrs, LIKE the PS2 version. GREAT!!! Those versions did so many things right that adding in a better blocking game and the current running game of Madden 09 (feels like 2k to me) would really help improve things.

I am concerned though that Madden's momentum and animation engine is supposed to be different from NCAA. Differences usually mean bad things for NCAA from what I've read so far. I'm hoping to hear some good news on this. It seems the community leaders aren't saying much at all. We might have to wait until early June and E3 to get some good gameplay comparisons.

By the way, the new QB ratings are NOT in NCAA. Only Madden. Excuse me but that is f***ing bulls***. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed than hearing that news. It's giving me serious concerns over which football game to buy.
I already have concerns about all football games. I'm concerned I won't be able to stay awake 10 minutes after popping it in.
ZING!
:LMAO2:
