It makes sense to me. Better facilities, weight rooms, trainers, coaches can all help you be a better player. These are things that not only help get the best players to your school, but help them be better when they're there. It'll make it more difficult to win with those 3 or 4* bcs-conference teams too. You won't see USC drop down to the mid-80's in ratings, leaving the Pac-10 wide open like you would last year.
Good points. I think one of the big reasons they did this was to keep the smaller schools from getting too good and I'm all for that. Vive le BCS!!

Question: My questions concerns gameplay in NCAA 10. I'm not sure how much you can and can't reveal at this point, but to be frank with you, I thought that the gameplay in NCAA 09 was terrible because it was highly unbalanced--especially in head-to-head matches. It was easy to score on offense, and impossible to stop anyone on defense. HB slip screens and other short passes were "money plays," and impossible to stop. Have you guys taken any steps this year balance out the gameplay?

Answer
:
A lot of effort went into balancing the game and making you feel like you are in control on defense. with the addition of the adaptive AI, gameplanning, and defensive keys you will be able to keep offenses in check a lot more this year. additionally, the AI on offense has improved so that they will really attack your defense and take shots deep if a reciever gets free or if you get caught in a one-on-one mismatch.

More Ben notes:

Adaptive AI is in NCAA this year as well, and it's a great addition. It really makes you think about your playcalling since they will focus on shutting down what has been working for you. If you run up the middle you will start to see the DT's pinch and clog up those holes. Also when you are on defense the AI does a much better job of pressing downfield and taking advantage of what you give them.

I just played a 1/2 game with PSU against OSU. I was trailing 28-21 at half time (I had to shut if off since I did this just before I left on Wednesday). It was fun. Pryor broke off a 60+ yard TD run against me and Wells was actually running on me too. (Still no deep passes).

But one thing jumped out at me after a long layoff. The movement of the players is just bad. The weight and herky-jerkiness just doesn't feel right. Especially after playing the Show and NBA Live where players feel like baseball and basketball players respectively. I don't come close to feeling like a football player. The PS2 feel was much better. I hope that this is improved drastically for NCAA 10.
