As said, they're a bit meh at first but as you go you begin to grasp the function of it in the engine, they're not visible when you turn shadows on for example or AA and so forth, it's just a help when settings are low enough to start blurring things together |

I agree, that black border stuff on all the screenshots I've seen is the SINGLE most thing that pissed me off concerning graphics and I've been praying all along that you can turn that stuff off. I assume you're playing on low? |

If you dont like the cell shading effect (as i dont) you can turn it off. I changed my shader to 1 and they went away, although i think you can change something else to turn them off too. |

Yeah, post processing turns off the black outlines. It's in the video settings, down near the bottom. |

It's pretty hard to see at night without them. They kinda give everything an interesting effect. I think find it more similar to Team Fortress 2 than anything else.

It blows me away over how much places like this in Darkfall remind me of Asheron's Call. Perhaps it comes mainly from the sense of exploration that most other games have so little of. I hope places like this (with so much custom design) get fleshed out with unique story line. AC's first quest lines were amazing...prior to them going to quest timer resets that pretty much ruined the fun. Games are usually amazing until you hit the inevitable end game crunch where devs resort to repetitive tasks to keep you busy. Edited by Tamanous, Feb 27 2009, 04:50 PM.
