Update - Unsuccessful Pre-orders/Sync Issues

Update 5.49pm GMT

After addressing a couple of early issues the servers have been running very stable for several hours and we have a large number of players in-game right now.

It’s normal to expect more issues to surface in the next couple of days. We postponed our scheduled maintenance of 10am GMT for later until we can gather some more data and address anything that comes up in a patch later tonight.

We’re aware that some areas are experiencing sync issues for some players. This is a high priority issue that we are working to address as soon as possible. We know the cause for it so it shouldn’t take very long. We will keep the servers up while this is being fixed and we will bring them down for a patch later tonight. For now, players can move away from starting areas to improve their experience.

We have processed the problematic accounts that were never charged but received a successful pre-order notification. Only a small percentage of these were successful and we found out that this is because most of them contain incomplete or incorrect account information. We will try this one last time again tomorrow morning European time, and we’ll open up account management later tonight for these accounts to be able to correct their account data and credit information before we reprocess them. If anyone does not want the pre-order to be processed, they should remove their credit card information from their account. After this is concluded we should be able to open up sales for more Darkfall copies.

That’s all for now, we’ll keep you updated with anything new that comes up.

I entered all my correct account info dammit, I double checked! This is complete crap. I better get charged tonight and not have to wait till tomorrow. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GIVE YOU MONEY!

Same Here, I even checked again the next day, everything is correct. I think they are using this as an excuse to limit the amount of people in game. They just cannot handle everyone at this moment.

That is a really lame excuse. If you can't handle everyone, just tell us. >.<

yup i double check mine, my info is correct, there billing borked it up, also sounds like they quit for the day and they might just give up on the accounts that are not billed

True but they will not say that. I have no evidence for this but from the number of beta application I would guess they have at least 40K who want to play the game today. One server cluster will not handle that number.

I also have a feeling that more people got through to the preorder buy page then should have, i.e. the skip around when they said they had been sold out but you could still buy the preorder, so now they have decided that the best way to stage a release is make excuses about incorrect billing etc. and randomly allow a certain number of preorders in.

glad Im not alone in the boat, but I think your right about them holding back. I got the 1st email and it wasnt a 0 charge. When I try to log on it isnt acc name/pw is incorrect its now account not active. There isnt any reason they cant let us in till they finish the "billing" because obviously the system recognizes us.

I'm in the same baot as you it would seem. I was in the first batch of people that was able to get a pre-order Thurdsay night. From what I can tell from the last time I logged into my account (before we weren't able to anymore) was that my CC info was deleted [though refreshing brought it back] but it makes me wonder if there's a glitch because I no longer had a pre-order on the page. So their comments about "erasing CC info to cancel" might be correct and due to a bug I may have had my order cancelled..

According to that email I doubt anyone will be able to order for at least another 24 hours it would seem. So hopefully any of us that "supposedly" have this issue have it resolved tonight.

Did you guys make your accounts really fast?

Cause i was user_id <500... got my pre-order done within an hour of the site coming online... no problems... everything went through.. My credit card was charged and cleared on tuesday... (the charge was pending since i first put in for pre-order). Got all the right confirmation emails.

Maybe my account got fucked in the database.. i dunno... all my account information is obviously correct considering i fucking got charged.

I guess they just will never admit they fucked up... or their so called "biggest billing company in the world" fucked up.

When i pre-ordered i had ZERO problems... i was pretty much 100% sure i had a pre-order done.. and i don't get fully billed? talk about a fucking gong-show.

Well, they should open up Account Management NOW not later. This is getting ridiculous. Either let me fix all my information or let me cancel, not on your damn time, on mine!

What is wrong with these people? Small team nothing--why didn't they outsource billing to a competent partner?

why they can't say ... between 10pm - 12pm ....

thats fucked up, in the news on the darkfall website tasos says

tonight ... so ... WHEN is tonight?


thats pretty fucked up, i dont wanna sit here and break my fingers pushing F5 all night long damn
