Imagine you've been working for the last 8 years to develop an MMO. You've put your minds energy into this MMO and it's your life's work. Finally, after the 8 year grueling pace, it's finally time for your life's work to see the light of day. You put your best foot forward, sign up with the best companies you've been told of, get told "don't worry, we'll take care of it", and then have nothing but trouble the days before your life's work gets a chance to shine. And then, to top it all off, people who have never even visited your forum and call you "Adventurine" bitch about the services that you have no control over, such as registration. All this crap paints your life's work in a bad light. And then it happens again. And then there's a critical bug that holds up release right when it was supposed to go live. Nothing but hurdles. How would you feel? |

"As soon as this is concluded we’ll process the accounts and open up the servers for the pre-orders. This will be done tonight; the game has been ready and waiting." First comes this. "A bug was discovered during final testing, and we need to resolve it before we can open up the servers." Now it's this. That seems slightly backwards to me. I hate to be the devil's advocate here but it's hard to believe in someone's "life work" when one doesn't sense their being honest about it. Note i said hard, not impossible, I, for one, still very much do believe in this product. I just smell something fishy is all. |

We smelt fish during the pre-orders, but that seems to be being dealt with -- slowly, but thats all you can do with 20-some developers. I'm going to bed and I'll play after I'm done with my project tomorrow. See you guys in-game. |

I'm with Hello here. A little empathy is a great thing, and in this case costs you nothing except a short wait. No biggie right now, as long as we get the promised extended month imo. Yes, I know that they have had our money now, and that changes the expectations we are able to place on them. Yes I know that an open beta stress test fro pre-orders before opening would have caught these issues before the deadline of final launch. But, seriously, drama, thin skin, and need to be offended aside, whats it actually costing you to look for something 'fishy'? |

In complete agreement, besides just being impatient I feel for them. That said and at this stage hourly updates would go a looooong way, even something as long as the post I'm making now. Some time in the next few days this will all be forgotten... |

We don't need any more apologists, especially on a beta leaks site - some realists, and maybe a few pessimists would be appreciated. It's nobodies fault but their own that they made a complete fucking mess out of the pre-order and release, and it is DEFINITELY nobody else's fault that they did not communicate better with us throughout the process. |
