You gotta think, those 8 years include 2001, when there was only 5 people. It actually started in 1999 I hear, but it wasn't a company until 2001. |

Eh, Maybe from a development stand point. To bad over half the battle is testing. To me their development is what got them all this attention with zero advertising. |

I'm guessing you have absolutely no idea on how complex it is to develop a new game-engine from scratch? That would maybe at least take up 3 years of their time. And now new server-tech added with this game-engine, maybe 1,5-2 years there as well. |

yeh, serious development probably did not start till 2003ish. A lot of the earlier stuff was scratch. They also spent 15 months alone on the world building. |

You gotta think, in 2001, when it was only 5 people, how did they get money? They could of all been living in 1 house, all working part time jobs trying make the game, while being able to pay rent, and all that shit. |

Yeah manufacturing a mmo from scratch takes an army.... Most small companies will lease someone else 3D Engine, thus saving a crap load of time and can focus more on content/features. Adventurine build everything from the ground up. So hopefully it will be an original game (Shadowbane was done the same, thus original). Regardless it takes an ARMY of artists, animators, network engineers, software enginners, database engineers, etc. to make a solid MMO in a short period of time (short period being 1-2 years). Only 10-20 guys, yeah it could take 5-6 years lol |
