how do you know people dont have it maxed and its still shitty? tbh its not the speed of the animations thats the problem its the realism. so VERY much doubt this bar does shit all. Edited by jupsto, Jan 29 2009, 07:15 PM.

Uhm, animation reduction just means that past a certain distance there are less frames between keyframes. It has nothing to do with how stiff the animations in the videos look. I believe that animation speed slider has something to do with the GUI as its under GUI options. Not to mention the speed of the animations isn't the issue. |

this is unfortunately not /end discussion about animations. first of all let me say im not one who cries about animations being shitty or not, i do have an opinon though and id prefer nicer animations but for all intents and purposes gameplay > animations imo. im not sure what the animation speed is exactly but the other options have to do with other players animations as you see them not yours. as it stands there just aren't some animations for certain things from what i've seen. ie when you turn theres no animation -- like your friggin just spinning magically, or when attacking there's hardly any lower body movement. i'm sure there's plenty more. my point is, these animations have very little to do with the options you show here, but nice find nontheless, ty. |

Of more note is the object clipping option. Whether that includes the landscape or not I don't know, but that may very well be a solution to the "fog" effect past a certain distance that people have been complaining about. |

well for me it is, im going just wait and see how animations look in non-debug beta mode instead of worrying about it now. |

Sorry but thats not it... Those options would only make the animations seem less choppy, raising those wouldn't take away the "I shit in my own pants" movement. |

I just signed in cus I got banned from forumfall from posting a leak (from youtube lol) Im 1 of the ppl rly annoyed by the animations but this sure gives some hope... also another thing. What bugs me is that the chars hold theyr hand up when running in 3rd person but thats actually just a combat stance, the first person running looks ok.. atleast in the 17 min video. Seems that the other hand is where a shield should be cus then it looks less retarded. But I guess well just have to see how are they in release

Guys, if the animations were awesome, the game would crash or require infinitely more power then it does now per person and per server. Low graphics are low or shitty for a reason. The crappier they are, the more computers can handle. Their looking for a range of players, not just people who have machines that can handle crysis or worse on max settings. |
