You have a valid point. However, those games were backed by major publishers that pretty much forced them to release the game unfinished. I can say with certainty this was the case with Vanguard and I'm willing to bet this was also true for AoC and WaR.

If you look at the latest patch notes its very obvious that they have been testing sieges and cities.

Perhaps they were testing them internally; but there are only one or two guilds that have a city ingame.

I've never (to my knowledge) seen a game release on time, much less on-time and bug free. I don't know why companies insist on even mentioning a release date, they should just keep their mouth shut about it until they KNOW the game is going to be fully ready THEN say "release date is xx-xx-xx".

Totally skip over the whole dance of building up expectations for a certain date, then having to push the date back to a later time. This would save a lot of headache and frustration on BOTH sides.

Can we get some opinions from amishfarmer and the other leakers like WeEzY?

Why're you guys talking about "end game." This is a sandbox mmorpg. UO had no "end game." You do whatever you want, whenever you want.

Sure, sieges and big bosses may be neat but they aren't necessary to me.

Because this is a RPG, and all RPGs have progression. Thus, there will always be an "endgame". Don't fool yourself into thinking it's just the PvE side, this also includes PvP at the highest levels.

Can you tell us how stable it is leaker666? Thats my only worry at this point. I wonder is 10k a server is possible. Why do you think they need to delay it if I may ask? Thanks for the infoz
I am also interested to know why you feel that way, leaker666. A ton of other testers would have us believe that it's stable and solid enough for a launch. Keep in mind that MMOs are always a work in progress, and they're never complete.

I'd be happy with FFA PvP, full loot, sieges, the AI I've heard so much about (PvE isn't so much my concern so that can be put off), a fairly large world, and gameplay that allows for freedom to do what I wish within the confines of Darkfall. This game isn't for everyone, maybe it's not for you?

Tbh alot of stuff on patch notes seem to say "enabled" or "enabled again" so i dont think even testers can know if the game will be ready for 25th since who knows how much stuff they just have disabled.

and i dont think leakers should be even asked if game will be ready for it. -_-
