Final Flight as Guild Master; Stepping Down from Leadership

Death from Above

This has been on my mind for several months now, and I think it is time that it finally moves foward...

I am stepping down as guild master of Aviary and naming my heir-apparent, your new guild master

As the founder and current acting guild master, I can only hope that you will be able to continue to bring fortune and life into this guild. Aviary has been my life these past 5 years, and it would be a waste to see it crumble away into nothingness. I have spent much time, energy, and funds to help foster this guild, some to my own dismay and grinding into my academia and personal life. I can only hope you will be able to learn from my mistakes while leading this guild, and further it into the future. Always keep your guard and your chin up no matter what storms will blow in. Your court and your members will always be at your side in times of trouble, as well as in your times of triumph. I can only wait and watch what you will bring to the guild as its new master, and pray that you will continue to have it flourish in the game as one of the oldest standing guild to date.

My final command to the guild as acting leader is this:

Do not despair but rather continue to support each other as brothers and sisters, for this is how a pack thrives. You are a group that relies on each other, a cog that fits against another in a well-maintained machine. The guild functions as a whole but falls apart when the master is not there to maintain it. To that, I will take the blame for my absences. I only pray and hope that the guild will continue to survive and grow through the generation of players, bringing in new thoughts and minds into the fold yet able to keep the old traditions I have set in stone. I also pray that the mistakes of the past do not repeat themselves in the present or the future.

My final command to the heir-apparent:

I only hope that you find the wisdom and truth within my words, and heed my warnings. I have endured the load as guild master for many years, and my wings are weary, a sign that it is time for me to name a new heir to the throne while I can finally rest. As such, I only hope and pray that you will continue to pass on the traditions to the newer generation, and that you will learn to be more open-minded and see farther than just the tip of your nose. Being a leader will mean many new responsibilities you did not have to deal with as a normal member, including drama and things of more serious nature. As guild master, you will be Judge, Jury, and Executioner, making you both powerful and vulnerable at the same time. You must steel yourself for whatever may come at you. I only hope that these experiences will teach you the trials and tribulations that I have had to endure the last 5 years, and better you as a man.

You have all been a blessing to me in my darkest hours and brightest day, giving me a reason to continue as leader all these years. But even a leader knows when it is time to step down and name a new heir for a new generation to come.

With that, I, Falcondae, current guild master of Aviary, bestow guild leadership to Jelly, the new guild master of Aviary.

I will remain in the guild as Jelly's adviser, but for all other issues, you will need to direct them as Jelly from here on out.

Good luck to all...
