So, one of my classes is ICAM101, study of Media and its usage. Well, today's discussion was rather interesting, especially when we find videos that apply to the lesson. This time, it was the mind and the media. Enjoy these two parts... xD Just a warning since there are moments when the guy starts cursing a lot... Derren Brown: Zombie Arcade [Part 1 / Part 2] This one's also really interesting to watch. Makes you think about some movies... Oliver Laric's Versions I'll put up more links to videos and websites I find amusing during our discussions... xD |

I wasent able to watch the 3rd vid (net decided to not load) but i call bull crap on this. There is no way i wouldent sue their buts for that. Not to mention their friends would just let em do that? I smell insane planing and par showmanship, thats bout it. But i wouldent deny the effects he was refering to r possible. |

Actually, he does have ads in the newspapers seeking help and to contact him. Usually after the contract is signed (which also includes a waver and whatnot to protect himself), he does the performance months later. At which point, the contract is binding until the act is finished. And since this is broadcasted, I am sure that the company behind it does follow the rules. Granted, here in the States you could easily get busted for it, but I guess it's not the case in England... oO;;; |

Maybe, but still asuming what u say is true then this video lies once wich makes it less credible. Even if it where true friends will just watch? or its was just a show in preatty much all the sense of the word. Point is i cant believe something with so many flaws, not saying what he is trying to state isnt possible. |

My major? It's "Interdisciplinary Computing in the Arts Major", so mostly using computer as an actual medium of art instead of using it for art. It's quite an interesting subject when you think about it since it's sort of like a 'ready-made' art style, but at the same time, there's just so much circuitry, theories, and hypothesis behind it that it sort of has a category of its own. I was Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), but it sort of killed me... ><;;; So, switching to ICAM |

Well, if you can get past coding, especially coding in Assembly, as well as being able to make compilers, then props to you. |

CIS doesn't use Flash or any of that generic stuff. That's more for design if I remember correctly. CIS here look more into Perl, Python, Ruby, Assembly (My nightmare), C, C++, C#, BASIC, maybe some HTML and some Java... So yeah... Research your major before you go in feet first... >>;;;;;;; |
