It was a year ago today I was sitting in front of my computer, listening to No Doubt and desperately trying to avoid doing revision. Whilst browsing SFY, I was PMing a certain Scottish lass and perusing a thread about forum software, where the very same Scottish lass mentioned a thing called ZetaBoards. At the time, I was running a forum that used phpBB3, and up until it reached about five members, worked fine. After that, it wouldn’t let any of the newbies post. I gave up with it, and almost went on strike with foruming (again), but when I heard about this new fangled thing called ZetaBoards...I had to check it out. As soon as I did, I fell in love. When it came to naming the forum that is now most commonly referred to as AS or Artificial Sweetener, it was between that, or Don’t Speak. My two favourite No Doubt songs. I settled for Artificial Sweetener, since I figured Don’t Speak was just a little too ironic for a forum where the main focus of it is to speak...well kind of. You know what I mean. This forum let people post. It let me play around with making themes, making it as pretty as possible (with the exception of Bubblegum - what an eyesore that theme was, but I loved it  ) and trying to attract as many members as possible.We may be a small forum, but we’re a close nit group of creative weirdos, and you know it I want to thank you all for helping to make AS such a wonderful place, and LONG MAY IT CONTINUE! Stats: 44 Members 3.6 members a month 33,863 posts (at the time of writing) 2,822 posts a month 651 posts a week 93 posts a day Rachael has gone from Eos to Aurea to Aurora Juels has gone from Juels to JesterJuels Sapph has gone from Sapphire to Faythire Krissy has gone from Jinx to Inferno to Briar Rose to Aurora to Krissy to Miss Krissy back to Krissy back to Aurora to Queenie back to Miss Krissy to Zippy back to Miss Krissy again to Lorelai to Miss Krissy. to Miss Krissy back to being Lorelai and has finally settled in being Krissy, but it’s anyone’s guess for how long A packet of cookies to anyone who can guess how long it’ll last and an extra packet for anyone who can guess what it will get changed to xoxo http://s1.zetaboards.com/artificialsweetener |
