Ok so this morning I was fast asleep when I got woke up by this horrible, high pitched wailing sound. What was it? The fucking fire alarm. At four am!!!! I'd only just got to sleep as well because my flatmate and her friends wandered drunkenly in about an hour before. I felt like I'd been asleep forever...but apparently not. So I turn the light on so that I don't crash into anything, grab my dressing gown, phone and slippers, and head down the three flights of stairs to the courtyard. Downstairs EVERYONE staying in the halls is there. My old school friend is standing outside already, and I go over to her to see what's going on and realise what I've forgotten - my keys! I start panicking, at this point thinking that I'm the only one in the flat because it's been so damn quiet lately. My friend tells me that it's been going off in her area (each of the flats are divided up, 1 and 2, 3 and 4, etc) for the last fifteen minutes, and because they couldn't turn it off fast enough, that's why we'd all ended up out there. EVERYONE was in their pyjamas. There was people running down the stairs getting dressed, guys wandering around the courtyard in nothing but tracksuit bottoms. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't exactly Hawaii either. This is England, after all. Not hotless guys though ![]() Standing outside, my drunken flatmate and her friends emerge, so I thank god that I have a way to get back in. FINALLY they stop the wailing, and we head back inside. Since my flatmate is the kind to always remember her keys, I managed to get back in, but I had to be up for eight, which meant not alot of sleep. I didn't even hear the first alarm go off. So what's the moral of the story? Never, EVER, forget your keys. |

Awwww Krissy! *hugs* glad you got back inside! I forget my keys sometimes too and luckily my neighbor has a spare but when she is not home... And lately our door has been locking itself with the latch so (I found a door that never locks, hope we don't get robbed) |

Thanks See it should've been my first thought, but because there's always someone at home, the only keys I'm used to carrying around are my car keys, and I'm not putting them all together because I have way too many keyrings and don't want to be carrying around all those keys and keyrings all the time
