greetings; i am a noob not only in this forum, but in forums in general. have been a "lurker" up to now. isn't that a flattering description? i have an '03 klr650 which i've been enjoying for the past year up here in B.C. i've decided to open up the airbox a bit, and am looking for some info on the best locations for the holes. i will be using the 1 inch foam-backed plugs, and would like to put them up under the seat. i have seen mention of airboxes with an "L" mod., and i presume that means to cut out the entire raised section. right? i would prefer to not cut out such a large single section, but wonder if i cut 3 or 4 1" openings in the "L", would they be too close to the seat pan when i plant my butt and luggage on it? i would appreciate the benefit of anyone's experience or expertise. be in touch, thanks |
