lol Anthroforum wasn't terribly bad, I used to post there. It's just got a sizable minority of younger, artsy, party-centric crowd, not everybody's into that scene or its influences. I compare it to Muslim Andalusia in its heyday: pretty swollen with wealth and cultural exchange. This place on the other hand is for survivalists and people interested in making lemonade out of lemons. The harshness of this particular climate builds character, resiliency. Makes you like one of those arditi or caimani di piave, it hardens you correctly. |

Why do they go to that forum then? lol. If anthropology/genealogy is not the main focus of conversation, then the purpose of being on anthro-focused board is........? I think people use that board mainly as a social tool. And there are plenty of generic boards to do that.  Funny thing is, most of the people on HBF etc. are members of additional boards of a related nature. That's one thing I never could understand. For instance many have accounts with Stirpes, Skadi, RAS, and even (dare I say) Stormfront. I am a semi-regular member of only one other board that is not related to this anthro stuff. I can't understand where people find the time to be active posters in more than one anthropology/racialist forum simultaneously. Darn, some people average 10 posts per day on several forums at the same time. I barely have enough time to grab myself a cup of coffee. Edited by Caudium, Dec 21 2008, 05:39 PM.

I don't like posting too much anyway, because it's awfully difficult to keep track of what you said. They don't post here precisely because this place has a very different feel than the HBF had just before it imploded - not everyone can handle spartan-style atmosphere, lol. They were nostalgic after having the rug pulled out from under 'em, I think, for a certain aspect, likely the social one, which I don't think is bad in and of itself and if balanced. But as that's mostly impossible to maintain (the balance between serious stuff and socialite stuff) I am beginning to think that a slightly more serious, almost spartan aspect is the better one to go with in the long run, preferably along with a little more objectivity in topics covered, if that makes any sense? If people like Warrior weren't posting the kind of stuff he posts, I doubt very much I would have gravitated here: to me, he's pretty darn close to objectivity with the majority of his topics. Posters like that were missing on AF, I think. On HBF there used to be this kid, KOTH, who did a lot of what Warrior did, just even more high-quality, very specific to certain locales, and IIRC he didn't bother with trying to describe the ethnicities of the people he took pictures of? I even told that guy KOTH exactly what I told you, that if we had several more posters like him HBF would definitely be on its way to greater excellence. Maybe we can get him to poast here.  |
