I think everyone has them, but not many are in touch with them.

I'm relatively sure that telepathy is real.

In my family knowing the time of death of a close, but geographically distant relavite is a bit of a pattern.

I keep getting deja vus of really stressful times (weirdly comforting), and find my self sensitive to certain objects and energies (a pain in the glutes). There is no "spiritual" explanation for this stuff: I am not female, do not eat granola, and I am not some sort of nature freak.

Absolutely no. It just doesn't make any sense and there has never been any evidence for it. Extraordinary claims need extraordinary evidence.
If you take anything in this forum overly serious, you should really go and see a doctor.

Knowing at the time of the death, that a relative on another continent has died is extraordinary evidence.

The telecommnications of the time could not have provided the information as quick. The death was completely unanticipated; that is the trouble with heart disease - sometimes the first symptom is instantaeous death.

Such phenomena have been recorded by many people before in a great variety of cases; to prejudge all such as explainable tells us more about the prejudger than the events themselves.

The trouble with extreme skepticism is that it begins to treat the world as a mystical and unpredictable place. A skeptic can choose to believe that the town on the other side of the hill is no longer there.

I've observed enough phenomena myself, not as the person who received information, but as the one who sent it.

It's difficult to know that you received something.

It's however easy to know that you sent something.

Telepathic communications are frequent enough for me so that I don't really even think about it when it happens anymore. Presumably for many people it seems more convenient to ignore anything that they can't see, but even mainstream science that has been stuck in the "only matter matters" paradigm for centuries has now started to acknowledge the limitations of materialism. I was personally acquainted with a known "psychic healer" (Arno Joala, Tsirkus may recognise the name), who helped me and my family on occasion, and some top athletes, some of whom were notoriously skeptical of him but as far as I recall, he would always turn out to be correct.

Yeah, I'm sceptical as well. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to do enough reading on the subject to have an informed opinion on it. When I do, and if I remember this thread, and am able to find it (it's going to months/years from now :) ), then I will comment.

Evil eye, Isabat al-’ayn, is a common belief that individuals have the power to look at people, animals or objects to cause them harm

I believe (based pon personal experience) that there are people who have this special ability

Well, I believe a lot of things in that regard, and in the evil eye as well.

But I think that everybody can do that, only with varying success, so to speak.

To be honest, I'm quite a coward and try to avoid this sort of thing.

I don't think everbody can do that. Some people inherit this ability from their parents. For instance some people on my father's side have it.We know who they are.

Well, at the end of the day it doesn't make much of a difference if you say "Only some have it." or "Only some are strong in this regard."

I prefer the latter version.

You know, I don't like to be looked upon with loathing, no matter how weak or not so weak someone's evil eye is.
