After dinner during Ramadan:

Saudi warns non-Muslims: respect Ramadan or else
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (AP) — Saudi authorities are warning non-Muslim expatriates against eating, drinking or smoking in public during Ramadan, the monthlong sunrise-to-sunset fast — or face expulsion.

The Interior Ministry of the oil-rich kingdom is calling on non-Muslims to "show consideration for feelings of Muslims" and "preserve the sacred Islamic rituals."

Otherwise, a statement says, Saudi authorities will cancel violators' work contracts and expel them. The warning came on Friday, the first day of the Ramadan observance.

In addition to Saudi Arabia's 19 million citizens, there are nearly 8 million Asian workers in the country, as well as hundreds of thousands of other foreign expatriates from around the globe, according to government figures. ----

Technically Ramadan fasting is not fasting, imo. One has an early big breakfast, and a late big dinner, consuming more than enough fluids too at the same time. The big portions at both ends compensate for the lunch. I am not sure of the medical effects of this kind of fasting.

Though others have stopped (or drastically cut down) their religious fastings, Muslims seem to have gone the other way, from what I can observe.

Well it's far healthier than snacking all day long like fat western slobs. It's similar to intermittent fasting which has well documented beneficial effects. Have fun with your midnight feasts, it's what I do all year long :P

Prahlad Jani claims to be in perpetual total fasting, and still living. That goes against science. I bet he got some tricks up his sleeves, such as consuming when no one is looking, or in the dead of night (ramadan style).

Ramadan observant Muslim players will have a hard time in Olympics.

Well, he has been monitored for a week, I think, in which he neither ate nor drank a drop of water.

I am not a Hindu. I have no religion, and no God. I am rather well versed in all religions, especially Islam. I reserve the right to point out the obvious when people do meaningless things in the name of religion.

There is a famous statement or similar attributed to the father of your nation Turkey, AttaTurk: "Islam - this decaying corpse of an immoral Arab beduin - is poisoning all of us."

What would you call him?

I know that, but I wasn't sure of the circumstances of the test on him.
