Technically Ramadan fasting is not fasting, imo. One has an early big breakfast, and a late big dinner, consuming more than enough fluids too at the same time. The big portions at both ends compensate for the lunch. I am not sure of the medical effects of this kind of fasting. Though others have stopped (or drastically cut down) their religious fastings, Muslims seem to have gone the other way, from what I can observe. Edited by jalu, Jul 21 2012, 09:22 PM.

That goes against science. I bet he got some tricks up his sleeves, such as consuming when no one is looking, or in the dead of night (ramadan style). Ramadan observant Muslim players will have a hard time in Olympics.
