Last year the italian volcano Etnas eruption mysteriously robbed 15 minutes from vicinity, it could be a glimpse to other unkown effects of natural disasters. Could our Earth history had been disrupted in the course of time? Say the legend of Atlantis, could the fall of Atlantis accelerated time like Etna did, and we misread its true age because of it. And could this theory explain other strange ancient monuments which show functions pertaining to archiac events much older than the supposed age of their construction like the case of Tiwanaku and dinausaurs on ancient temples?

That time slip is pretty weird though. Has anyone explained it yet? I found another article; it doesn't say much else but it makes like three jeers at Sicilians lol: Sicily is 15 minutes ahead of the world Scientists baffled at time slip 15 Jun 2011 09:00 | by Nick Farrell in Rome | Filed in Software Facebook Solar 5 Comments 27 Italian scientists are baffled boffins and are trying to figure out why time in Sicily is different from the rest of the country. While many in the North feel that the South is backward, they are finding it hard to work out why digital clocks are actually running 15 minutes faster on the island. RIA Novosti reports that in Palermo digital clocks and watches in Sicily are complicating the lives of their owners by running more than 15 minutes fast. It means of course that the local hoods are robbing the banks 15 minutes too early or shooting the wrong person because they showed up too early to hit the right gangster. Two locals have set up a Facebook page calling for those affected to come forward. Francesco Nicosia has complained that he realised something was wrong when he started getting to work earlier. After some investigation he noticed that he wasn't the only one who was on time, which is quite rare in Sicily. In fact many people do not have to show up for work at all as it is just a front to give them an alibi for their" family business". There have been several theories ranging from aliens and poltergeists. The most credible is that there is an electrical disturbance caused by underwater cables, although volcanic activity on Mount Etna and solar explosions have been mooted. The problems have not hit anywhere else in the country, although I did sleep in for an extra 15 minutes this morning because I forgot to turn on the phone. http://news.techeye.net/software/sicily-is-15-minutes-ahead-of-the-world |

That's an interesting theory Nam. Might not be so far-fetched. Nice pics of Mount Etna. |

The strange phenomenon could also imply the nature of volcanic activity, in high energy physics, it is known that electromagnetism could interfere with space-time, so the volcano eruption likely related to some underground electromagnetic activity we never discovered. It is interesting find, at leat our scientists are setting out to get the new phenomenon explained. Thanks, but the pic I not visible to me. So we could have a support to young Earth theory. Each cataclysm makes Earth younger! Edited by Nam, Jul 10 2012, 06:43 PM.

Anything is possible with God Nam. The Earth could be young or it could be old but ultimately what does it matter? I suppose if someone is leading a worldly life than those things are very important. |

First of all, I'm not a dude. This post was not about that at all. And lastly, there are much worse things to be than that. Being disrespectful I think is far worse among other things. Edited by Delilah, Jul 18 2012, 12:52 AM.

Very interesting indeed. Imagine if the effect (provided that there is one) accumulated over the timespan of the age of the earth? 15 minutes per day (?) will become millions of years. I dont think this hypothesis (its not a theory) is correct. Evolution in Sicily, at least until the advent of man, would be millions of years ahead. Nothing extraordinary about Sicily's flora and fauna though. Edited by Homosapiens, Jul 20 2012, 05:32 PM.
