I'll start with the funniest ones!

Katso in Greek means "to sit". Cazzo in Italian is a very rude word (it is used for sh*t, f**k etc). They sound the same. Well, a Greek went to a café in Italy, and when she was wondering where to sit, she said loudly to her friend "pou na katso?" (where shall I sit?). All the Italians stared at her!

Puzza in Italian means stink. The same word (written poutsa) in Greek is the rude word used for penis! My teacher of Italian language in college told us that when she was studying in Italy, her classmates came to her house for food, and the food she was cooking was smelling very bad. When they opened the door, they said "che puzza!" :rotflmao:

Another one: Mucho in Spanish means much, and it's a very common word. The same word in Cypriot slang means masturbation! :rotfl2:

I know a funny one. 'Kak' in Russian is a very basic term meaning 'as' or 'how', while in Dutch literally meaning 'shit'. When Dutch people are exposed to Russian speech they often find it very funny considering that the term is used so excessively and accentuated.

"Hallitus". In Estonian it means "government", but in Finnish it means "mold" :)

Apparently "hissi" means something rude in Greek. My Greek friends saw a sign saying "hissi" (elevator) and couldn't stop giggling.

I think cazzo in italian is actually a vulgar word for penis.

I know only one, in Brazil when we are at the table and we are gonna toaste with glasses we usually say "Tin-Tin!", is the equivalent of the english "cheers!" or the german "Prost!", and in japanese this exact sound is a slang for penis. And it it is quite common for brazilians in Japan to commit that blunder.

Another one: Shest in Slavic languages means six. If you wanna say "the sixth", it's shesti, shesta and shesto. All these words in Cypriot slang mean "screw her / screw them / screw it" or literally "make shit to ..."! :rotfl2:

In Russian, которые is pronounced very similarly to the Greek word "katouro", which means "pee"! :rotflmao:

It is not other language, but there many words that have different meanings in Portugal and Brazil.

In Brazil, "bixa" means "faggot", "queer", while in Portugal it means "queue". So you may hear "I am gonna get that "bixa"" meaning "I'll enter the queue", but for a brazilian it sounds "I am gonna catch (in a sexual sense) that faggot".
In Portugal the word for injection is "pica", while in Brazil it is a slang for penis.
In Portugal the word for french bread is "cacetinho" which here means "small dick".

In Finnish, "perse" means "ass". So to Finns names like "Persephone" or "Persepolis" sound kind of amusing...
