The REAL Mrs. Camui

So here's the thing. I am now facing many problems in my computer... One is that when i log in Windows there's this little MSDOS window that appears (a blank one though), i have to close it, then as i work on photoshop or any other program that needs friggin concentration, i get a pop up window, "Error in Dialup" with an "ip" icon.
I am sure my compy's dying... And i do not know WHY i have a bad luck with compys. >< D:<*
And i do think it's some sort of virus. Could someone please tell me what anti virus should i use? Cuz i want to format soon. Oh and i want an antivirus that is self-RAM so it won't slow my comp down.

I have used Avast!Antivirus, but it is not that good i think...

this is the pop up error. It's very annoying, and comes around every 5 min...Anyone?

Kaspersky's the greatest option. Though make sure you update it, or it'll turn useless. :D

Not so sure if it's self RAM. And update it once a day. It's just a few kb of update to keep it running. :)

From the picture you posted and the symptoms you described, it seems you indeed caught some virus/malware.

Avast works just fine as far as my experiences with it goes, so does AVG and Kaspersky. I've never heard of the term "self RAM" before though. If you mean an anti-virus that doesn't tax the system's RAM resources too much, then I believe all the anti-viruses mentioned in the thread are ok.

Yes i meant self RAM as a software that won't take much RAM during regular performance. I had a computer earlier in my dad's workshop that had the exact same problem, he installed AVAST and when it displayed that there was a virus (i believe trojan and worm) the window system crashed and he had to format it all over again. That's what i fear... I have lots of files that are too much to save or backup.

I love my Kaspersky, though that's actually a bit of a lie, the newest version of Kaspersky is actually set up to were when it expires if you don't remove or renew it within two weeks, it will actually start to shut down your computer. lol,
