She waited for a bit and listened patiently, "Ah yes he is? Why?" She looked to Wolfe and then had her attention back on her cell phone. "We don't need help, Wolfe's helping actually." She said happily, or at least trying to sound like it. "You should rest." She added. ( You don't have to post here if it's a hassle hun or if you don't want to. ) |

"Oh..." He said, sounding more down about it then he meant to. He quickly lifted the sound of his mood in his voice, hoping that she didn't notice. "No real reason". He said, referring to her question on why he was asking about Wolfe. "I was just asking". He started to tug at the bottom of his shirt a little without realizing it. "I doubt I'll get any real sleep tonight, but thanks. How's the case going so far?" He said, dropping back into the couch. He realized a case about his own shooting, didn't seem to mean that much to him at the moment. He had other things on his mind. (No, its fine. I didn't mean that it was stressing me or anything, just that I kinda felt guilty that I didn't come back to it in a few weeks) |

Em noticed his tones but wasn't sure what to think of them. She bit her lip, "I have a few ideas about the case..." She glanced around. "Though...I should discuss them right now..." She said. Ryan watched her out of the corner of his eye. "Um maybe we could talk later or something?" She asked slowly. ( I understand but I don't want to make you feel obligated to rp with me. ) |

"Oh, uh...ok". He said biting his lip a bit again. "We can talk later...I didn't mean to bother you". He glanced away slightly, feeling stupid that he was putting some emotion into what he was saying. Chances are that Em would think he was losing it. "Anyways, I'll call you later I guess. But don't hesitate to call me if you need any help. Its not like I'm doing anything". He said, with his last sentence sounding quieter, and more under his breath, (Your not.^^ *huggles*) |

Well she decided that she would see him at lunch. And a few hours later she drove back to Mike's house. She got out after parking and walked up and knocked. She wasn't sure too if she should walk in or if he was busy but she had this urge to see him. Even if she was trying to get him jealous, she couldn't help but want to see him still. |

Micheal had been lying on his back, on his couch in the living room, before Emily knocked. The same couch he was on earlier, when he had at first called her. He hadn't really moved much. Tried watching the movie he rented, but soon stopped it when he couldn't really concentrate on it. When he heard the knock on the door, he sat up. 'Oh great, who's this now?' He grabbed his crutches laying next to the couch, and headed towards the door. He was surprised when he saw her on the other side. "Em?" Was all he said at first. |

She felt bad for surprising him and making him walk over when he had been shot. "Um hey I just...I just thought we could talk now..." It was safer to her if she knew it was with just him, in person. Emily looked off. "If thats okay..." She said and tried to smile. He looked pretty cute, Em was tempted to ask about his smoking too. Oh well. |

He blinked a few times, connecting everything she was saying in his head. "Y..yeah, yeah, sure". He moved back from the door, so she could come in. He then glanced around his house. There were times when he was a bit slobbish. Luckily his place looked suitable enough. It would have been a hassle hopping around to pick stuff off the ground. He looked back to Emily. "I didn't know you were coming over. Is something wrong?" |

She looked around. "I needed to talk to you anyway. Alone." She said. He was hurt so she'd male it fast. "I an quite sure a cop shot you. Or had our ammunition..." She said. |

Micheal stood there for a minute, quiet for now, and thinking over what Emily had just said. 'A crooked cop?' It was possible of course, but since Micheal tried to have more faith in fellow law enforcers, the thought hadn't really crossed his mind. After a short while, he took a deep breath and nodded. "I see". He looked up into her eyes. "I guess next you wanna ask me, had I pissed off any other cop? Gave one of them a reason to wanna take me out". |

She bit her lip, an idea coming to her mind. 'It couldn't be Wolfe....no. That was a bit....actually...it would make sense. Wolfe likes her and wants to get rid of...no that doesn't make sense, Mike doesn't like me. We work together.' She mused, hand to her chin. She realized what she was doing and laughed a bit, for the first time in a while since she decided to be colder to Mike, though it was a bit awkward of a laugh. "Sorry about that. I just think that you're one of the few people who should know about my theory." She explained. Em felt like she might have wasted his time though. Sighing, she looked at the door. "I really wish we had more to go on. I'm going to stop by the Byscaine Courthouse to get a warrent to search other officers...." |

Micheal turned his head slightly when Emily laughed a little, he wondered what she was thinking about, as she did. He nodded. "Thanks, I appreciate it of course". Getting tired of standing there with his crotches, he went back to the couch, and sat. He again slightly nodded when she said she would go and get warrants. The thought crossed his mind that the other officers weren't most likely gonna be to happy about being investigated. But he quickly pushed that thought from his head. He didn't have it in him right now to worry about them, especially since one of them might have tried to kill him. He grinned to himself. "Hey, there's a chance your little friend tried to kill me". He said, referring to Wolfe. "He doesn't seem to like me too much. You can tell in his tone". He chuckled a bit. "In our line of business, you can pick that kind of stuff up". He was joking. He did believe that Wolfe didn't really like him. That if he really had a thing for Em, he probably saw him as some sort of competition. But he didn't think he would try to kill him over that. |

She made a snort. "Oh...you think so huh? What are you...jealous?" She teased, awh if only that was true. She sighed softly. "I know I'll have some rough times ahead but I need to solve this case." She muttered. She wouldn't tell him why of course. Though another thing had surprised her, she didn't refer to Wolfe as her boyfriend. Hm. "At any rate I should get going." Emily started to say. "Call me if you think of anything." She told him. She was being careful around Wolfe but he insisted they go out again tonight after work. She couldn't say no, oddly. |

Micheal made a playful like pouting face at her. "Jealous, who me? All cause hes taking up all my Emy's time". He grinned, then turned away kinda. "Nah, you can hang with whoever you want Em. Not really any of my business". He said looking down at his hands. He bit his lip a little, and sighed very quietly under his breath. 'As long as that d!ck head doesn't hurt you.' He looked up at Emily, forcing a smile on his face. "Don't worry Em, I'll call if I need anything, or think up anything. I am partly kinda involved in this case". He both laughed and grinned a little. |

That really saddened her but she wouldn't show it. 'Well he doesn't care, just as I thought.' She thought silent and hid a pout. "Yeah right." She just said and went to the door and opened it, trying to hide her dampened mood. "See ya." She mumbled and walked out, closing the door. Why did she feel like she was about to cry? Damn, she let him effect her too much and it hurt. Emily walked to her car and got in, shutting her door and sitting there, she felt so sick. 'I really shouldn't be with Ryan anymore. I was using him.' She thought. |

As soon as Emily shut the door, Micheal shook his head, and let out a deep sigh. It was obvious to him he had screwed up. As soon as the words left his lips, he regretted it. Of course he had to be a smart ass. He put his hands over his face, and repeatedly rubbed his eyes. He wasn't sure how Em took his comment, but he figured it probably wasn't too well. 'Shes used to you being an ass, isn't she?' Micheal didn't answer his thoughts. He just sat there, nervously tapping his foot on the ground, which he did sometimes, when his nerves were messing with him. He continued to do this for a while, thinking, then leaned back into the couch. Right now, if she was in a bad mood at all cause of him, chances are that dear Wolfe would comfort her. He cringed, and cursed under his breath, from the thought. |

After getting to work, she wasn't sure why she was there. Her mind seemed in a flurry. She walked up to the door and walked in, she was quite surprised to see Wolfe there waiting for her. It was cute but a bit weird. "Hey I take it you went to see the Lt." He said smartly. "Um..." Well that answered it already, so she couldn't lie now. "I figured, you should stop being his lapdog, I mean he hardly appericated anything you do." "I can't really date you right now." She blurted out, looking down. "What? Why? It's him isn't it?" He said and looked off. He wasn't very please and would have to go fix it soon enough. That night after work, Em had gone home early, Mike was diriving Mike's house to have some sort of 'chat' with him. He reached the house as the sun had set and walked up and knocked, gun with him in his holister. |

Micheal only turned in his bed a little from the first few knocks. He had trouble falling asleep, cause he couldn't seem to turn off his racing thoughts. Of course it was much earlier then he would usually head to bed, but he didn't wanna think about his screw ups anymore. So he had taken a few sleeping pills to help him eventually doze off. That was hours ago, and the main effect it had, had worn off. Still, it was still with him a bit. Finally the persistent knocking, made him groan, and sit up in his room. Still in a more of a half asleep state, he stood up, and cursed, forgetting about his leg. He reached down, and grabbed his crutches, that he now remembered he left beside the bed. He then left his room, and headed towards the front door. As he reached for the knob, he expected that it was probably Emily. So he was pretty annoyed to open it and see Wolfe. "What the hell do you want?" He said quickly. Of course not a very nice welcome. |

Wolfe glared to him, "This is your fault!" He glared and took out his gun. He assumed he was the reason why Emily broke up with him so soon., Wolfe also assume Mike knew what he was talking about. "It's your damn fault that you just hold a damn leesh to her like some dog! I should have made sure you were dead the frist time." He hissed, now aiming his gun at Mike. Emily was just driving around, it was late. She had a lot on her mind. She couldn't ery well sleep with her mind so fogged so she decided to take a drive around the suburbs. It would be a lot less hectic then in the heart of Miemi. She looked over, now near Mike's area and slowed down and hopped out, her heart stopping. What was Ryan thinking?! "Stop!" Emily said, getting out, quite unarmed and in her street clothes, Wolfe turned around, surprised and fired at her. She hit the grass and looked up to him. |

Micheal still had a mean look on his face, when Wolfe snapped back at him. His first thought was that this might turn into a fight. He went still for a second when Wolfe pulled out a gun, that was completely the last thing he thought he would do. Staring at the gun bewildered, everything else Wolfe yelled at him, he didn't exactly catch. 'What the f*ck!' When he heard Emily's voice, a sudden fear hit him. The man standing in front of him, had obviously lost it, why he wasn't sure, but that didn't matter. As soon as Wolfe turned the gun towards her and shot, Micheal lost all thought, and leaped at him. Landing hard on top of him, he twisted his leg, and flinched from the pain, but ignored it, as he tried to wrestle the gun out of his hand. |

Emily got up and looked, she ran over and pulled Mike away carefully and looked down at Wolfe. "What are you doing?!" She cried and glared down at him. Wolfe sat up and Em kicked the gun away from his reach. "This is his fault..." He hissed. "No it's not. Mike has nothing to do with us. We're done..." She said as she reached for her cell phone and called for back up. "You attacked an officer twice, you'll go to jail Wolfe...I'm sorry." Em said and turned to give her attention to Mike as she knelt by him. "I also called a medic for you." She told him formally, looking him over. |

Micheal was now sitting not very far from Wolfe, with Emily in front of him. He was glaring at Wolfe, and it was obvious by his expression that he was very pissed. He didn't even really pay attention to what Emily said. "Are you out of your f*ckin mind!" He snarled. He had an extreme urge to crawl over to him, and punch his teeth down his throat. And he probably would have fully attempted to, if Emily wasn't right next to him. 'Emily...' He turned to her, and grabbed her hand. "Are you ok?" Without realizing it, he tightened his grip on her hand. "Why are you apologizing to that d!ck for?!? He turned back to him. "He should be happy if I don't f*ckin kill him". She was shaking and hardly paid a mind to him as she just stood up and tugged her hand back to her self, she walked over to the patrol cars and explained everything while medics started to tend to the boys. Emily looked down and sighed, running a hand through her hair. She didn't want to think what would have happened if she hadn't reached him in time. God. She looked back to them to see Wolfe being dragged into a car and being taken back to the office to be booked, she walked along the grass, looking down and answering what she could to the officers. Em looked to Mike and glanced off and then looked down at the hand he was once holding so tightly. "Does he need to go to the hospital?" Emily asked a near medic. "No but he needs more bed rest and we have to put him in a temporary cast and give him a bigger does of medication." Em groaned but nodded, that would be bad news to Mike but it could have been worse. |

Many thoughts were going through his head. He didn't pay any real attention to the young paramedic examining his leg. Not even when he began to cut up his pants leg with a large pair of scissors. The paramedic looked over his leg, then squeezed it a bit. "Does this hurt?" He said, squeezing it a bit away from the past gun wound, and around the area that looked to be newly twisted. Micheal flinched. "What do you think?!?" He snapped quickly back to the paramedic, in a harsh tone. The paramedic looked unfazed, it wasn't the first time he'd been snapped at on the job. He slightly grinned at Micheal. "Nothing seems to be broken or anything, just a slight twist. You'll be fine, just try not to put to much weight on it, and use an ice pack". Micheal looked away, and his eyes quickly landed on Emily. She had been involved with a guy that obviously had a few screws loose, and he didn't even fully notice. What if he had gone after her instead? He sighed deeply and glanced downwards. "Kind of a bummer to have two injuries on the same leg so close". The paramedic said, beginning to squeeze his leg again. Micheal bit his lip, holding back the urge he had to kick him with the other leg. (OOC: Sorry, I'm too sleepy to stay online right now. I just wanted to post the two Rp post, cause I wanted to do it earlier, but didn't get the chance to). |

( It's okay hun. ^^; I'm glad to see you're alive. You need rest. <333 ) Emily glanced to where Mike was yelling at the medic who seemed to be rather incompetent. She sighed and saw Wolfe getting put in the car to be taken to the Police Station for booking. She was sure that she would have to give her statement soon. With Mike being in their profession it might take a bit longer for Internal Affairs to sort it out for their work. She rubbed her head and walked over to where Mike was. "Do you want me to stay with you?" She asked him slowly, her mind was just trying to wrap around what had just taken place. She looked down a bit her legs shaking slightly, she supposed this is what she got for trying to find love at work. It turns out to be a cop killer who was using her. Great. |

Both Micheal and the paramedic looked up, when Emily walked over and spoke. The paramedic let go of Micheal's leg, and stood. He gave a quick smile in Emily's direction, then looked back to Mike. "I'll leave you two alone. I doubt we'll need to take you to a hospital or anything. No need to worry". Micheal rolled his eyes. "Who's worrying?" The paramedic didn't answer, and just began to walk back to the ambulance near by. Micheal seemed to mumble something about the young paramedic being an idiot under his breath, then sighed and looked up to Emily. "Thanks..." He said quietly answering her question. He then looked directly into her eyes. "I..I'm really sorry Em... He shifted uncomfortably, and looked up with her with a halfway, what seemed to be forced smile. "I'd hug you, if I could properly stand". He laughed a bit, but it sounded pained. (Heh, yes I'm alive. Thank you ^^ <333) |

It really hurt to see someone she cared about so much in this sort of pain. She held in a grimace, "It's fine..." She just answered and moved to help him up. "I guess I was foolish to try and find some sort of social life at work...I'll know my place next time you know?" She laughed a bit, feeling stupid that Mike was dragged into this now. "It was stupid." She muttered. She looked around, a bit shaken up still. "Do you want me to stay with you...?" Em asked again ad glanced around as everyone was gone now. Micheal allowed Emily to help him to his feet, then attempted to stand the best he could, on his own accord, and not so much with her help. He didn't wanna come off as helpless. The old manly pride thing. He glanced down a bit. He couldn't at all blame her for wanting to have a personal life outside her job. Or for trying to have a relationship with a co worker. Him being guilty of the same in the past. Though still, the whole time in the back of his mind, he had hoped she was doing so to make him jealous. Of course that was just an inner wish he had, that she liked him back. "Your not at all stupid Em". He said in a more serious tone then he usually had towards her. "Its not like he had a flashing light over him, indicating that he was nuts". He sighed. "Its just a messed up situation, that you did not deserve". He remained quiet for a moment, leaning on her a little more without realizing it. "If you don't mind Em, I would like you to stay with me for a little while". He said softer. "As long as you don't have anything to do, or anything right now". (I'm ok, a little tired. But I've been that way since like 7, so nothing really new. lol. You luv? ^^ *huggles back*) |

She listened but didn't have much of a response. And maybe she went with wolfe because it might have sparked something in Mike..but also, Ryan Wolfe paid attention to her. Not just as a friend or a co worker, but also as a person. It felt nice, even for a little, even if she was being used. "I don't mind I did offer after all. And it's only one AM, what else do I have to do?" She smiled and led him back into the safe heaven that was his home. Emily set him on the couch, went back out, locked her car and got her cell phone and gun and walked back in. She shut and locked the door and walked over to him. "You need rest...can you make it to your bed?" She asked him, even still she kept to protocol, formailties almost. Emily figured it was the best for them, even if she'd rather break down walls inseatd of build them. ( I'm okay...^^; I still think you should rest love, though it made my night to see you o' course. ^^; *kissy* ) |

Micheal sat heavily on the couch, once helped there. He then watched Emily walk back out of the house for a few minutes, before returning and locking the door. For a few seconds he didn't say anything, and instead just looked at her. Then he slightly shook his head. "Don't worry, I'll fall asleep when I fall asleep. I think I deserve the day off from work tomorrow". He looked back to her. "I wouldn't go if I was you either". After saying that, he bit his lip. Feeling like she might feel like he was trying to tell her what to do. "Sorry Em....its just a suggestion". He sat back into the couch a little. "If you wanna go home, that's fine of course. But if you're find with staying a little longer, you can sit down if you like". (Aww, I'm happy to see you too.^^ I'll probably fall asleep soon enough, I just wanted to try to get some things out of the way first. *kissy* ^.^) |

She still felt bad all this happened to him. He'd been through enough. Then again, she had too but she was more worried about him. "You thirsty or anything?" She asked once again. He turned to her with a sleepy, but sort of peacefulness in his eyes. He shook his head, and smiled very slightly. "No, that's ok". He hesitated for a few seconds are you uncomfortable?" He then glanced away a bit. "Em, I am generally sorry. In the last few days I have seemed to act more like a jerk than usual. Whether it was more towards Wolfe or not, I shouldn't have really acted that way around you. What I was feeling is no excuse". He looked back up to her. "We've known each other for years, and I really do care about you and all. I just have an a-hole way of showing it sometimes". |

Emily yawned. "Im not leaving that easily...I'll stay with you tonight. Just in case anything else happens." She said to him. "And you need be someplace where your leg can rest so let me help you to a bed..." She said and got her self up and looked down at him. She was staying and he had no say in. Nope. And he couldn't pulling 'I'm a higher rank' card cause they weren't at work. Then again...if he really didn't want her there she would leave. It's been a long night for. As soon as Mike was resting, she would too. |
