Sesshomaru; Heart of gold, or cold blooded killer?

Most would argue (option 1) because he lets Rin follow him around, but I disagree. The main reason he let's her tag along is because she saved his life, and he saved hers, so she feels like she owes something to him (even though she may not) and who is he to turn down a little girl?

He's Rin's protector and yet he doesn't show any emotion towards her. To me Sesshomaru is almost indifferent towards Rin. What do you guys think?

His charracter showed inuyasha how he could have becom if he became a full demon.

Posts: 23 Group: Rookie Member #83 Joined: Nov 14, 2008	I think Sesshomaru is still a cold hearted killer even though he lets Rin follow him around. He lets Rin follow him around because she saved his life and this is the only way he thinks he can repay her. Has anybody ever seen InuYasha movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler? If you have, then you probably remember the part where Sesshomaru remembers when his father asked him if there was anybody he would protect. When he remembers that, Rin and Jaken flash in his mind. He would protect them with his life, but not anybody else. It's just my opinon.

Member of the Faye Posts: 430 Group: Nen Master Member #97 Joined: Dec 5, 2008 Preferred Internet Browser indifferent	I think the only person who can answer that question about Good ol' Fluffy is Rumiko Takahashi, cause I don't have a clue, there's good arguments for both sides. On the bad side of things, he's definitely had his cold hearted moments of death & destruction and we all see how he treats InuYasha, not to mention his stand on the human race...having no issue with annihilation adn whatnot. .....on the other hand.... He's demonstrated his power many times and we've all seen that if he wanted to he could've taken out InuYasha plenty of times, he's never taken much action towards humans (seemingly influenced by his father's better nature) and seems concerned more with preserving InuYasha's reputation than destroying him. adn then there's his tolerance of Jaken and his uncharacteristic protection of Rin??? easy to say, he's supposed to be of the villain type, but maybe he's supposed to have nothing more than a sibling rivalry...have to ask Rumiko next teim we see her :)
