Seinen manga fan Posts: 9,810 Group: God Hand Member #39 Joined: Aug 24, 2008 Blog Manga nonsense	So how exactly well done in terms of storyline as compared to western stories that take place in about the same period in history like Conan the barbarian/robin hood/3 musketeers/knights of round table/etc. I have to say guts seems more similar to conan although Spoiler: click to toggle Guts is a merc while conan is a traditional soldier then becomes king (according to movies), and while conan was sold into slavery guts was born from a dead mother then picked up by mercs who then had him grow up survivng by the battlefield not knowing of tranquilty while watching his adoptive mom die of disease,then was sold to be raped by donovan so he's not especially a happy person thats just my opinion also the spoiler is during v4 of the manga
