Now, before you do what I would do after reading that, and roll your eyes, this is a DIFFERENT magic/fantasy-based RP. Why? Because there are no elves, dwarves, faeries or other strange creatures, simply humans. Humans with magic at their side. Story, Rules of the World All humans are bestowed with the ability to use magic from birth through what are called "Arcanums." An Arcanum is a seal of sorts; it may be an article of clothing, or a symbol attached to the skin. The one rule about this is that an Arcanum cannot be removed without dire consequences to the user. All Arcanums possess different abilities, and they are not limited to a single ability, although they primarily will have their strength lying in one. To use an Arcanum, the possessor draws power from it by uttering its name and directing the flow of energy to whatever they need. Energy is a highly expendable luxury in this world, which is why Arcanums are only used directly when they are really needed. Arcanums have four levels of technique complexity, and each one requires more power to sustain. Class One is always active, and generally does not affect the user's energy reserves. Class Two is when the user is utilising the Arcanum's abilities. Class Three is when the Arcanum begins to warp its structure slightly, and is generally unused, since the energy used far outweighs the benefit of this form; finally, Class Four is a mysterious final level Arcanum, unknown to most normal users. The world is a large landmass, with various cities dotted around the place. Wild creatures are said to have been created from a powerful Arcanum long ago that was able to bring forth life.
