Academy Tourney RP: Also, the first paragraph you write will be having a class within your schools, in an exclusive lesson with your principles. Who will win the Tournament is yet unknown. Good luck. Welcome to the Academy of Dark, an Academy purely built to train evil creatures/humanoids of the dark how to fight and use magic to an amazing extent. Welcome to the Academy of Light, an Academy purely built to train creatures/humanoids of the light how to fight and use good magic to an amazing extent. Every seven years the students of these academy's meet up in a gigantic tournament, the students of AOD/AOL go to these school purely for this tournament, and with it only two weeks away, the students are restless. The tournament is held in the Realm of the Elders where the most important magical rulers from all around the world come and watch. With a single areana, and two people from different acadamys left to battle it out, it will only come to one man/woman. Which school will win this year? This RP will start with you all on the way to the Realm of the Elders to practise until the tournament actually starts. The Realm of the Elders is an extremely beautiful, anchient realm. Rules: Romance is encouraged Keep violence to an appropiate level G13+ No god moding Please post at least a para. Assuming Dark Elves are physically like the ones in the Elder Scrolls and D&D..... ------ Name: Adoras Duskweb Age: 19 Gender: Male Race: Dark Elf Appearance: Posted Image AOD/AOL: Academy of Dark Magic/Combat Skills: Almost exclusively a physical fighter, the only magic he learned was darkfire and globe of shadows. Darkfire alights his foes in purple flames, making it easier for him to target them, while also burning and blinding them for a short time. The flames can be put out quickly by a quick mind, but the blindness lingers for a few precious minutes. He prefers dispatching his enemies with his bow, and relishes in the use of poisons. Most of his battles are over in the first few minutes, as spellcasters are useless blind and have horrible defenses against physical attacks and poisons Weaknesses: Direct Light Spells and mind-controlling spells Attitude: Aloof and viciously anti-social except to his own kind. Edited. But, no, just the one spell. I've got one poison arrow per fight , then regular arrows and a sword, should the fight get into melee. |

I'm going to say you should not use a sword if he can use hand to hand. A sword seems a bit much to me. But having regular arrows and that onemaster spell seem ok. |

I'll join this Genkai Name: Leonuss Age: 16 Gender: Male Race: Undead Hero Appearance: http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/1614/selmthefloofyblackknigh.jpg AOD/AOL:Academy of Light Magic/combat skills: Leonuss has mastered the way of the blade and he can use deadly sword techs which are: Dark slash: an attack imbued with the power of darkness making it deal more damage Shadow cut: a ranged slash attack which invovles a slice in any direction in mid air to send a sharp wave of darkenss in a stright line Reqium: His strongest attack. it is similiar to Shadow cut in the fashion of it not needing to hit his target though the effect needs the target to be in close range. After a single slash in mid air close to his enemy an "explosion" occurs, if the enemy is cought in it, it will deal critical and tremendous damage. NOTE that this drains ALOT of Leonuss energi. She commands him with a sword and can ride him. The wolf uses fang attacks and his claws, also uses lightening/electric attacks. Saka Duli - A water mini dragon who can swim and float. Lula commands her with a simple scepter. Duli is rarely used. Duli used water and aquatic moves. Saka Maze - A fire fairy who can send fireballs and create smoke screens. Lula has no weapon with it. Weaknesses: She's defenseless without the energy to summon and even when she summons a creature, she has no other knowledge of magic or spell. She can do minimal healing, but she has no resistance to anything if she her self is attacked. Attitude: Naive, perky, a bit of a tom boy. She is new to the Dark Academy and wants to make friends. She tries to be tougher then she is. Ice Bomb - A chunk of ice forms and she can throw it, causing major damage. Light Orb - Her signature move, she lets light form in her hands and attacks with it. Weaknesses: Cannot heal her self in battle. She is weak in hand to hand combat. She can't use all of her spells at once, and usually it's only one or two elements. Attitude: She is confident, helpful, she is the well known popular girl, she wants to help everyone. She has no goals for after school. He uses the dark scythe to carry his spells and attack with them. He has two attacks with official names. Otherwise he just uses his scythe to attack and not rely on his dark magic because he knows its weak against his alleys and it won't harm his enemy too much. Dark Blade - He uses the dark magic to cut though air and add to his attack. Dragon's Sleep - He uses his magic spell, when it hits his opponent the enemy is put into a defenseless daze. Weaknesses: Weak against light magic due to the dark talents he has. He also is weak against hand to hand combat and rock elemental moves. Attitude: Earnest, compassionate, he tries to fit in but people aren't very trusting with him. He has a slight innocent to him. More: He has dark powers but has pleaded to use them on the side of good. No one knows who he is really loyal with. I tried to give my characters sufficient weaknesses. |

No, what you see there is what's avaliable. I have decided that I won't allow vamps cause they need blood and its not a necessaily handly thing to take care of bloodlust. And the dark academy already has more then enough options then the light. Sorry if that's what you were thinking. Anything else you could suggest perhaps. |

Ah...I'm not sure I'm a fan of the idea. Win me over. Tell me about this prospective dragon...maybe you could just have it be a Summoner or Shadow Fairies (They eat meat, and can take the form of anything they see) or maybe a goblin. Is there a particular reason for them to be a dragon? Or are you reusing a character you are usuing for Yasha's rp? |

Nah, not reusing. Well, the dragon would only have the two forms. Instead of having infinate forms he would only have two. What is conveinient is that I like more humanoid creatures, but I like dragons. This way works out better. I'm not entirely sure how to convince you though. ^^; |

That's not going to be a real necessity right now, they probably will commute to their academy and then start heading for Aeon. And how is your chara gonna come in then? Maybe the headmaster calls him to represent the school anyway? |

yeah he can. My char IS a part of the AOL but him being dead would give the school a bad moral and reputation. So yeah the guy could as him to be in the competition with the school. Name: Reginald Eyon Type: Light Sorcerer/Summoner Age: 20 Gender: Male Appearance: http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff352/dark_blooded_wolf/White.jpg AOD/AOL: Academy of Light Magic/combat skills: He is weak in his Summoner abilities, but skilled enough to control a pack of white wolves that live in the mountains surrounding the school, he lived amongst them for years before attending the academy, upon entering the academy, he learned that he was actually more powerful as a sorcerer, he had masterful control of wind and fire magic, his favorite attack being the dance of feathers, growing wings of fire, he charges into a tornado, and lets the tornado rip his wings apart feather by feather, launching flaming feathers at an opponent...this attack drains him of alot of energy...he carries no weapons, but attacks physically via the wolves that travel with him always...if his wolves are wounded, he carries poultices and herbs, and can keep them from death through his own mediocre healing magic. Weaknesses: If his wolves are all mortally wounded, he turns to making sure they survive and forgets battle, leaving a massive opening for an attack... melee attacks are hard for him to block... Attitude: very meek, distant, possibly because his mind is with his wolves.... More: If one of the wolves in his pack dies...he uses his ultimate attack, the Lament of Wolves Tears, the clouds gather, and then open up, launching millions of ice projectiles that destroy the one that killed the wolf. Afterwards, he faints, and sleeps for about a week...very bad for the tournament XD... |

I'm getting weary of how these fights will turn out only cause I always am. I think we'll all have to be careful about being 'cheap' or 'god mod' ish when fighting and make things really clear. This goes for everyone including me of course. And I'll soon decide who fights who but whoever is fighting who, I need to know who is going to win so it'll be planned out so the fights don't drag on and on. I have no idea who is going to in the end but this will continue after the tounrey as well, maybe to create more drama or have the losers unsatisfied. Anyway Yasha, character approved... |

if everyone wants the battles to turn out the way they want them to, no one should actully land an attack on the other. If X attacks Y it is up to Y to describe the impact of the attack on Ys own char. Otherwise Y can be pissed of cause some attacks can actully be dodged, or he/she wanted something else to happen because of the attack. Though if someone dodges each attack that's just lame. |

Well I think we should all be open to not advancing, cause we're all not going to...I personally don't appericate when people 'dodge' everytime. Which is why we will wait and do it that way. But we can't have battles go on forever with each person trying to win and such. Kids don't have that high of endurance, or shouldn't... |

If wolves were his only weapon he wouldn't stand a chance...and when I speak in italics, it means he talking to the wolves through his thoughts... Okay, i finished the dragon dude... Name: Drake Soshi Age: 18 in human years Gender: Male Race: Dragon that can transform into a human Appearance: I don't have any picturesfor him... AOD/AOL: AOL Magic/combat skills: In human form Drake has decent fighting skills and great abilities with a sword. His other specialty is in elemental magics. He knows powerful magic of the four basic elements of fire, water, earth and wind. He also knows a little light magic, but not enough to say that he is good at it. In dragon form he has the strength of a dragon, and can breathe any of the four elements except for earth. His elemental magic is more limited in this form, but he does have telepathic abilities and the ability to levitate or move things. Weaknesses: Drake is not a master at any of the elements, so many magics are above him. He would have great difficulty levitating a bolder twice his dragon forms size for example. In dragon form his great size may be an advantage, but also a disadvantage. Using elemental magic can take up much energy and can be difficult, so Drake often uses an ocarina to play magical songs to make casting spells easier. Without the ocarina, he would have to use double the energy. While using the ocarina, he is obviously susceptible to melee attacks. Also, Drake is weak to darkness attacks due to not knowing that element well. Attitude: Drake is often serious and unsocial. When around friends or family, he might be outgoing. Although he has attended the academy of light for a while, not many people know he is a dragon. Since he does not talk to people much, not many people know much about him. Well we needed your dark character to make it even. I'm not sure if I'm considering Yasha to still be in the rpg or not. I'd say give him no human powers and let him have some dragon abilities, after all these kids shouldn't be too strong. He should rely on one form or the other, otherwise they both seem like handicaps. |

I still am not seeing the need to have your person be related to a dragon...if you have him have elemental skills just have him be a dark sorcerer or something. I don't see a need for a dragon form. |
